Hole #1 is at the top of a ski mountain. Great views, a variety of habitat and a very enjoyable golf experience overall. 60+ aged hitters that can't take it long? Use the gold tees to stay out of serious trouble. My favorite par 3 is #6. Enjoy some very interesting menu items afterwards in the Ore Creek Grill.

Played The Golf Club at Mt. Brighton today. A number of years ago I had played it when it was called The Jackal at Mt. Brighton. It is built around the Mt. Brighton ski slops and lifts. An 18-hole, par-71, 6702-yards from the longest tees. The has 4 sets of tees to play from. You start at the top of the mountain and play down. There is water and sand on the course. There is some carries over brush. Not for beginners.

Great coarse, love the ups and downs, and good for all types of golfers. Love the 18th island hole, will play this coarse again.

Love playing this course which is arranged around Mt Brighton. From the first hole which is on top of the mountain, the course is well arranged and challenging. Some think its gimmicky which may be true depending on one's definition of 'gimmicky,' but on the other hand each hole is fair and playable but you've got to think it through. The course is designed to make one want to push it a little, and if the shot isn't good you'll end up in the woods or the water. I love the way all the fairways and holes are lines with the woods, its very scenic. Front and back nine are equally challenging.Huge makeover to the ski areas this past year was a little messy but that's all done now. I've never been backed up on this course because it seems during the week to have lots of tee times available.

The golf course is gimmicy, and not very attractive. The ski equipment is lying about on several holes. The dining room is dark, and gives the appearance of being dirty. With the many other courses in the immediate area, this would be the last one I'd consider playing.

This course is played around Mt. Brighton. A non traditional golf course but it does have its challenges from very protected greens, to tight wooded shots, to hair pin angle holes. Over the years the course seems to be getting more updates and better maintenance, but I have seen worse. If you are looking for a fun course, non traditional in play, then give this a try. Enjoy!

Four of us golfed on the Friday after July 4th. Horrible pace of play - 11:30 tee time, finished at 5:30. I counted 11 people on one of the par 4's on the front nine. No one seemed to be monitoring and some groups were more interested in beer drinking than golfing. Course in average shape and even from the forward tees, there are plenty of forced carries and uneven lies. Price was good at $22 - but I won't be playing it again.

The Jackal Golf Club winds its way around the Mt. Brighton Ski hills that have been a Brighton staple for many years. The golf course is improving now that Vail Properties have purchased the business. This year all new golf carts with automatic parking brakes were purchased so there is no longer fears of running out of battery mid-way through your round. The views on this course are wonderful. The fairways, tee boxes and greens are average to above average. The pin placement can be difficult on some of the undulating greens. THE RESTAURANT IS ANOTHER STORY!! They try....let's just put it that way. The food is DELICIOUS. The service and the restaurant both stink. They are hiring new waitstaff and it seems like it is a fault of a system. These young gals try their hardest but get all sorts of orders mixed up as well as the bills. We had to wait for over 45 minutes for our bill one night and there was nobody else in the entire restaurant except our small golfing league of about 20 people. Seriously, the entire restaurant is normally completely empty except for our group every other Friday night. Sad for a restaurant in Livingston County where the rest of them are busting at the seams.

This golf course is on and around Mount Brighton and has a mix of highly elevated, wooded up-north, and large water protected holes. If you are looking for a traditional course, this is not it. but if you want to experience something unique, give it a try.

one cannot just hit the ball, one has to strategically place his shots. Fairways and greens are good.

The course is built around a ski resort. A few tees are at the top of the "mountain" and the views are great. The course was in great shape when we played but it was in the 90's and VERY hot. We took advantage of the senior weekday rates and it was not crowded. The only thing distracting was all the old rusty ski equipment laying around. It didn't affect the play, only the beauty.

Great set of opening holes. Bring lots of balls. Ski resort so some shots are down the hill others play much longer up it. Lots of water to stay clear of. All that said its fun to play.

a very well layed ot golf course at a good price-very fun golf course where you get to use every club in the bag. Great par 3's, very good par 5's and very scenic and peaceful!

cuspdoc

nice course but tricky and a lot of up and down holes. Club selection always important. Easier the more you play.
