We have invested very heavily in our snowmaking system over the last 5 years, and now have one of the most advanced snowmaking systems in the Midwest. Over the next few years, you will see some significant changes to our lifts and lodges, while maintaining our focus on value. We look forward to having you back in the future to see the changes. Dear funkybeat85: Thank you for staying with us. Yes, all of our rooms have the same layout, are the same size and have the same pricing structure. We are working steadily to update our rooms. As of today, we have 40" flatscreen TVs in 20 of the 36 rooms. The other 16 rooms will have them before mid-February. We renovated the outdoor pool and hot tub area this past summer and added the outdoor firepit. We also renovated the canopy/entrance and plan to continue the exterior renovations this summer. The rooms are always very neat and clean and we will continue to update them as well. I hope you enjoyed the skiing and thank you again for visiting.

We pride ourselves on being a very family-friendly, down home, unpretentious ski resort. Obviously, this was not the case on your visit and it will be addressed. dbrider: Thank you for staying with us. Yes, we do have limited dining options during the summer months. However, we do have two different vending machines in our lobby for snacks and drinks. I am sorry you missed them. I am glad you enjoyed the scenery and we look forward to having you back in the winter.

Thought we would save money by booking one night at this resort, but it did not meet our standards. Although, it looks as some updates are being made to the resort area it was still old and run down. We were fine until we got to our room on the second floor, dark hallways, empty twelve pack beer container at the top of the stair and the smell was horrible. Not to mention dark hallways, lack of secure doors & no deadbolts on the inside. This is an old school hotel that clearly never invested in their rooms. Seems it might now just be a "party" hotel for skiing & a guys weekend trip to golf. Our room smelled like an old vacuum bag mixed in with the aroma of Lysol. Linens were yellow stained and looked 30 years old and washed a million times. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good clean nights sleep! I get the feeling the only people who stay at this hotel like to party and don't care much about trashing the place. I was given a full refund on my credit card, since we basically walked into the room and right back out. My suggestion to management is that they put some money back into the rooms. It was not even so much the outside of hotel or lobby area but just that the room was so dark, dated & dirty. Another factor is that the room had NO land line phone, and we couldn't get any service. If they update rooms, bedding, hallways, lightening and security they may have a chance.
