I will recommend this place for your first zip lining. We are a group of 7: 3 teens, 1 young lad over 20, 2 moms and 1 dad are over 50; we are not adventure type but seeking for some excitement. Teens want to do zip lining and moms want to go shopping.Did some research on various zip lining places in Ontario and Michigan. Found Snow Lake ski and golf with decent price $55 per person, all inclusive. There are 10 lines with total over 4000 ft for all 7 newbies, plenty for practice. Both leaders Calleb and Andrew who are very friendly and helpful; both taught us basic skill and demo different moves for us to try. Although it is only a 2 hours adventure, we all have fun. Now we have confidence for bigger challenge.
I liked the layout but some tough holes if your driver is not straight. This is my second time and appreciate the beauty of the course. Greens putted well and were somewhat fast. Good service from the cart girl.
I should of known better when I saw the ski slopes, the cart girl was polite and friendly the inside staff was polite. Range balls were garbage sliced, cracked etc and hitting uphill to a ski hill was different for yardages. The course was in great shape , greens quick yet the usual poor golf etiquette with numerous ball marks etc. the on course etiquette was non existent with golf carts with stereos blaring, foursomes shooting moons to their golf buddies, five somer on greens. The place was managed like a carnival or red neck rebellion golf. Maybe when two guys who golfed played it there wasn't anyone there. After, all I heard on how great this place was we were extremely disappointed with it. Will no recommend Snowsnake to anyone heading to that area.
Beautiful course that had a very friendly starter. We had a nice lunch at the turn. Highly recommend!
You can ski, snowboard or snow tube at Snow Snake. The prices are different for each sport. This is a seasonal attraction--in the summer I heard a rumor it is a golf course. I was very lucky to be a chaperon on a tubbing day trip to Snow Snake in late February. The line was really long and we had to wait a bit, but it was well worth it. Once we got into the park, there was a nice roaring fire to warm us up. The staff is super friendly getting us all ready to tube. There is a sort of winch and pulley lift system for the tubbing so you don't have to walk up the hill. Staff clips your tubs rubber strap onto a plastic...thingy and then a winch pulls you up the hill. At the top of the hill you have your choice of four different hills to slide down. I tried and enjoyed each one. This probably isn't an excursion for people who have heart conditions as the hills are somewhat steep and the resulting exhilaration may not be good for that. I would definitely recommend this fun outing to anyone, regardless of their age. And I can not WAIT to go again. Actually, I heard a man behind me say, "This is really fun. And that is saying something since I am a fifty year old man!"
