The beer is cold and reasonably priced, and the service is good. This is an "upscale" bar in downtown Cape that the owner, Cathy, has developed through hard work into one of the most popular entertainment venues in town. I particularly enjoy the bands at happy hour on Friday as well as the large screen TVs with the Cardinal games.

Enjoyed the FREE mini-buffet of appetizers, which happens every Friday beginning at 5:00 pm. Wait staff always cheerful & ready to serve you, musical entertainment beginning at 6:00 pm.

We are new to the area and The Library was recommended to us. The drinks were not that good. The menu was limited. It is too dark to see. The server that rang our ticket out was not our waitress and had a cold and we discovered when our credit card statement came she altered the receipt and gave herself a tip.

Nice decor. Good drink selection and prices. Live music several nights a week. Great happy hour free appetizers on Friday. Decent bar food menu. Biggest negative - far too smoky. I even avoid going there later in the evening because it is too smoky. Perhaps they could consider making one of the two area non-smoking.Not sure why I am reviewing this as "an attraction" It's a bar!

The Cape Girardeau Public Library is a treasure trove of material for anyone researching their ancestors from Southeast Missouri. On a recent trip to Cape, library, stopped at the front desk, explained that i wasn't a resident and asked if I could use their genealogy room. The librarian very graciously showed me to the room, gave me a day pass to use the computers, demonstrated how to use the microfilm reader to print or capture the screen to a flash drive. They have local newspapers from the mid-1800's on microfilm. Then she pointed me to the shelves containing old city directories and year books for both the 3 city high schools and the University.

great book otions for every age. Alot of nonfiction books. My kid loves reading and he reads at a lot higher level then most kids his age so the more advanced books are certainly not lacking. Going to the library is something we do every two weeks at least. This is definitely a worthy trip if you read.
