Small little place, with not much of a wine selection, and the wine taste was pretty average. But I will say that the lady who did our tasting was as nice as she could be.
This vineyard is tucked away in the southern part of Delaplane and is a challenge to find (use your cell phone to traverse the roads to get there). A small tasting room set in house nestled in a valley with a pond nearby with a great view of the surrounding countryside. A limited menu of wines for tasting with an attentive pourer from the family who owns the place. Decent wine but nothing special -- still worth a visit.
We stopped by on Thursday and the winery has a lovely setting. We asked for a tasting and it was obvious that the the lady doing the pouring was in a hurry. I had not even finished a sip of what I had in the glass and she already had the next bottle in hand waiting to pour. We asked about the history of the place and the angel outside and even though our questions were answered there was more information on their website. Their wine were great. Its a shame that the experience didn't match the wines. Would not go back, there are many other wineries in Virginia were you feel more welcomed.
A quaint vineyard tucked into the middle of Delaplane Virginia with a great story, friendly staff, and good wines. Stopped by here early on a Sunday and enjoyed wine tasting and the whole place to ourselves. There is plenty of covered outdoor seating overlooking the vines as well as an offset gazebo closer to the vines as well with a couple games of cornhole set-up as well. The surprising favorite wine was the 2012 Merlot, however it was the 2012 Merlot warmed with Crown Mulling Spices. It was so good and delicious that we bought 2 prepackaged sets of the wine and spices to use this fall/winter. Enjoy.
My husband and I live in DC and got a groupon as a gift to come to Miracle Valley. Our first time was in Fall of 2013 and it was wonderful! It was chilly outside, but nice chilly, and they have a fire going. We did a wine tasting and then got a delicious bottle of white (and I'm typically a red wine person) and had a snack basket and sat outside and enjoyed the wine and atmosphere. The property is gorgeous and serene, and you forget the city entirely when you're here. When we were driving back, we felt we had just been to a spa! It was so relaxing and a really great afternoon. I brought my girlfriends back for a birthday this past May, and we did the tasting again and got some more bottles and sat inside as it was raining, and they had expanded their back deck which is now enclosed.I'm hoping to go back with my husband for my birthday in October! I love it here :)
This was our first time visiting Miracle Valley and we will certainly go back again! Stunning views, great wines, incredibly nice & friendly staff and fun live music! Everything that you would imagine wine tasting in the country should be. This vineyard is on the smaller side and didn't seem to draw the crowds the larger, more commercialized wineries do. The small atmosphere added to the overall vibe of relaxation. Looking forward to going back!... and when you visit, be sure to try the sangria! So good!
We visited Miracle Valley Vineyards in Delaplane, Virginia today and enjoyed ourselves very much. It's a very nice drive from the Washington D.C. area, especially if you go the back roads. We took Route 50 to just past Middleburg and then to State Route 713 through Marshal. Kathy made us feel very welcome. She explained our Groupon special to us before we started with the wine tasting. We tasted 8 wines and enjoyed them all. We received our promised basked with crackers, salami and cheese. We then each picked a glass of wine from the list we just tasted and moved outside. Miracle Valley has plenty of chairs and tables to enjoy the food. The view is fantastic in all directions. It's a great place to visit.
The setting is absolutely beautiful with soft rolling hills, vineyards, a charming old farmhouse used as a tasting room and a Tuscan style residence set up on a ridge. The drive to the winery is an easy one off Route 66 coming from the east. However, it can be much more fun when coming in from the west! Your GPS will tell you to go to Cobbler Mountain Road. This is correct. However it turns into a single lane dirt/gravel road. Don't worry--keep going. The road is a little tricky but it will get you to the winery and give you a little adventure as well! Well worth it! And....the wines are delicious.
Went by on Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. It is off the beaten track (but not too far off 66) and up a gravel road. Don't let this scare you. Nice old charming building. There were a bit disorganized when we got there but then a really nice lady did the tasting ($8 for 7 wines). Even if you buy a glass she will give you a taste first. Reasonably priced and excellent wines. Liked the Sweet Michelle as well as the table white and red. Nice patio and a covered patio. They had a guitar player when we were there. Fantastic view. They sell a few snacks but we brought our own. They have a NO Dog policy and are firm about it (they said they had some incidents). Will definitely go back.
Went yesterday with a group, the atmosphere is very nice and the pourer knows her wines .There mulled wine really blew us away, with remarks like"it tastes like Christmas".The farm is at the base of Cobbler mountain and has nice views
Love the wine and the staff is SUPER friendly- very pretty place they accommodated our Limo and treated every one respectfully
We accidentally showed up 5 minutes before closing and didn't know it, but the staff was wonderful and let us do a tasting and drink a glass outside. Beautiful vineyard and wonderful family. Mandy was an excellence server.
I had bought a groupon for Miracle Valley a few months ago, so my boyfriend and I stopped by on a sunny Saturday. The wines were great, and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. There were... I think 7 wines on the tasting, and it cost around $8. We both liked the majority of the wines. The groupon came with a picnic basket, so we had some sausage, cheese and a box of crackers. We bought a bottle of Sweet Michelle to drink with it and sat on the patio for an hour or two. I would definitely go back, it was beautiful place to drink some wine and relax.
We were out wanting to try a nice vineyard and initially went to Barrel Oak, but it was sooo ridiculously crowded that we left without even going in (will NEVER go there again!). We used Waze to search "winery" and it suggested this place, only a couple miles away. The vineyard is BEAUTIFUL! It's only been open a few years and is owned/operated by a husband & wife who run things there and have a nice staff. They have a nice stainless steel chardonnay, which we bought a bottle and enjoyed under the pavilion to live music by a guitarist. They also have catch & release fishing in their beautiful pond.Definitely worth a try!
