You don't have to book a flight to NYC when you have a great little playhouse right in your own backyard. Performers are top notch and it's a great way to enjoy a wonderful night at the theater with your sweetie on your arm. Fellas, if your gal loves live theater & music you can't go wrong!

I love this place. In every situation you feel like you are in the middle of the action. Staging is set around the audience. Oh, and the popcorn is fresh and fun and more than reasonable. Great place for the family. The owners are passionate and professional.

This charming theater brings what you'd expect to find in Fort Worth or Dallas to the mid-cities--without the drive or parking hassles. If you have small children, Artie's Playhouse is the perfect place to introduce them to the theater setting, as the shows are entertaining, and audience participation from the children is encouraged. The young talent is incredible, and the value for money can't be beat. If you are looking for date night activities, or even planning an outing with a friend, Artisan's main stage plays are also superb. You feel so at home in the theater--it's quaint and cozy. The location of the theater is a humble shopping center, but don't let that keep you away. The stages have been newly remodeled, and what you get inside for your money makes up for it. We've given my mom season tickets as a gift, taken our kids to many shows, and have recently enrolled them in Artisan's Acting Academy. We need more places like this that encourage family participation and support of the fine arts in the suburbs!

I take my daughter to many of their Artie's Playhouse (children's) plays. She loves them!! The children's theatre is new and it is really nice. The productions are very engaging and only last 50 minutes or so, so it keeps her attention. My husband and I went to an adult show about 2 years ago and it was fabulous. The theatre is a square, so they perform to all sides - there are no bad seats.

Sorry to say VERY poor customer service. I spoke with a girl named Emily multiple times; I would have had better luck speaking to a rock as I could tell she not once actually listened to my complaint nor cared. I was also told by Emily that Mattie would need to handle the issue but that she was out until Monday. Emily took my name and # telling me Mattie would call me on Monday. Well of course on Monday Mattie did not call me so I called back. Emily put me through to girl #2. Then I was told Mattie will be in on Wednesday and she will call me then. Well it is now 5:30 on Wednesday and still no call from Mattie. I do not know if these are volunteers or paid employee's either way it does not matter as they are representing a place that I will never purchase tickets from again. Judi W

This community theatre provides consistent, well done productions! Looking for something other than dinner and a movie? Try this. The pricing is reasonable, you meet the actors after the show, the facility is well maintained and the staff is friendly. This is really worth doing!

Went to "Into The Woods" which was a production at the Artie's Playhouse geared towards kids. Overall, the actors were very good. There were about fourstandout outstanding actors/singers in the show. High caliber entertainment for such a small venue and a very reasonable ticket price ($10 adult, $8 for children -I think). There is not a bad seat in the house. Overall an excellent experience!

This was a Xanadu Jr. production. WELL played by our teens. and the theater was quite well attended.

This theatre does it all. Great, high quality entertainment with a family friendly touch. There is no way you will leave the theatre NOT wanting to return. The productions have been great for many years, including such productions as West Side Story, The Sound of Music, To Kill A Mockingbird, and many, many more. Don't miss out on going to this theatre. You will not be disappointed!

It was actually a mistake how I found out about this. One of my friends from school had a birthday and she took some of her friends to see a play here. That's when I fell in love with this place! Every show that they produce is quality and family material. You never know what you will see in an Artisan show. Now my mom and I have season tickets and have gone to every show since. I don't know how many times that we have walked away saying "that was the best show that we have seen". This is a must see for families. The food and drinks they sell are all at a low cost of $1! Beats movie theaters hands down.

Saw "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and thoroughly enjoyed the performance. My husband and I enjoy live productions such as this, especially musicals, and the entire cast did a terrific job. Would highly recommend this theater.

You want to go here. I have been many times, and I have NEVER been disappointed. The plays are always clean and wholesome, and the actors and actresses are always top notch. The sets are also well designed, and you feel as if you are actually involved in the production since it is designed around the stage. The actors are so close, you feel as if you are actually in real life. Just went, and they are now offering small bags of popcorn for suggested donation of $1, along with other things like soda and water if you want to enjoy refreshments while watching the play. The actors always wait outside if you want to shake their hands or talk to them, or you can just walk out if you prefer. It is fun to actually be able to talk to the actors and actresses and find out a bit more about them or just congratulate them on such a fantastic job. It makes it personal and memorable. They do not put on plays that are sexual, or lacking in morals. It is always something you can take your family or date to attend and know you will be okay and enjoyable. The prices are always great, especially when you realize you can actually talk to the thespians, and you would spend so much more for such a small theater that creates such a personal experience. If you want to take a date or your family to a quality, reasonably priced, quaint, friendly attraction, then this is the place to go. You will not be sorry if you invest your money and time to attend a production here. It is a rewarding experience.

This renovated movie theater looks nothing like a movie inside. The seats are in the round - giving a very close proximity to the actors. My friends and I have gone several times and each time I am amazed at the excellent productions. The actors always wait outside the theater after the show to connect with the audience! We are considering season tickets - a really good deal!

I have been to several plays at the Artisan Center Theater. It's a small and intimate theater that always puts on a good performance. The Artisan has a children's theater as well. I have never been to one of those plays but friends of mine have and their children loved the show. There is small concession stand that has movie type snacks and drinks. It's an affordable way to enjoy live theater with local actors!

I have been to the Artisan Center Theater over a dozen times. It is a small, quaint theater, with all shows in the round. The shows are usually enjoyable. Sometimes there will be an actor or two who is not quite up to par with the others. However, this is community theater with unpaid actors and staff. I am amazed at the time commitment that the actors are willing to give simply for the love of what they do. The musicals usually have excellent voices in the lead roles.
