I visited with a group of friends on a recent Saturday. We decided to do a wine tasting of the wines produced by this vineyard. They were mostly awful. This is a beautiful building with tables both inside and out, but we won't be back.
This looks like it would be a beautiful venue for a wedding. For a couple visitors passing through, it was alright. Mediocre wine selection.
This is a very nice high class place. They only had 5 wines and that was the tasting for 10.00. The wine was nothing special. They did not have any sweet wine and that is my preference. The workers were nice and friendly and the place was pretty.
My mother and I visited here on our road trip. It was smaller than than expected but surprisingly enjoyable. It was decorated really nice. The wine tasting was fair price (cheaper than most places) to try 5 wines and all were surprisingly good (usual you only like one or two). My mother bought a bottle. We went on Sunday when they have band but Band didn't start until later and we had to leave (we were disappointed about that) but we enjoyed ourselves while sipped out wine. The chair and table in breezeway was really nice and comfortable. The asst mgr was very nice, professional and knowledgeable. I can't remember his name but he was college student seeking business degree and I think he's off to a great start. We loved our time here, the setting, wine and ambiance but if you're looking for all the bells and whistles of bigger wineries then you might not enjoy but I would recommend trying it out.
Great wine and other drink selections and prices.Very nice new building! The manager (Amy) was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall experience A+
We were really looking forward to visiting on a Saturday afternoon in Aug.to try a new vineyard. Parking was easy and empty... went to the Tasting room, but they had it set up for a wedding so were told to go next door. The lady that showed up eventually, was very cold and you felt like she didn't want to be there. We were the only customers, I guess this was their small bar... as this wasn't a wine setting at all.during the wine tasting she just served and left the room in between servings. No real information, no coffee beans, crackers, no rinsing the glass between . The wine wasn't any good either... there was no music or people on a Saturday afternoon. It's more for a simple wedding venue, with not so happy grapevines growing next to a large ditch and back drop of a housing neighborhood.Go and enjoy the wine tasting place in downtown Gruene, muchhhhhhh better all around.
We visited the winery our first night in Texas. We did a wine tasting and noticed they had live music outside. I got a glass of their wine and my husband got a Texas beer they had. We sat in the cool night breeze and listened to two wonderful musicians, "Broseph". Enjoyed the staff at the winery and the location was within walking distance to our hotel. A must visit.
Beautiful location, and good wine selection. Although the vineyard offers six wine choices, there is something for every palette. The tasting room is huge and open, and everyone is always very friendly and helpful. Nice if you're looking for a nice end to a date or even a long day exploring Gruene.
My husband and I got married here on May 3rd and it was a blast! Amy, the event coordinator, was very friendly and responsive. We had about 160 guests but the venue is best suited for wedding parties of 80 or less. I'm excited to visit Vineyard at Gruene during all my future visits to NB!For all the dog lovers out there, they allow pets on the patio. :)
Went back for music but was told Country Band was no longer playing there that we liked. There was a red headed lady behind bar who was very rude. Will noy be returning as we had truly enjoyed band and the specialty instruments they had.
Love the wine selection and atmosphere, but as with all things Gruene its become a hassle at times to deal with due to the crowds that are almost always present. Make sure to try and get there early or go on a weekday to avoid the madness
My favorite wine at this vineyard is Guadalupe Red. But a wine tasting will help determine yours.Get a bottle and sit outside with friends or inside in the a/c. There is also a little pub there with great beers if wine isn't your thing. Sundays they serve food gratis most of the time. It is just around the corner on Gruene Rd from all the attractions in Gruene.
Good wine. Beautiful place. No music when we were there. Very nice & friendly pourer. Had a good time chatting with her. Accidentally dumped wine in her empty tip jar, apologized, she laughed so we tipped her.
Relatives took us here but it was late and during the week. Would have loved to come back the next day but did not have time. Loved the old dance hall. The music that night was not to our liking but still got in some dancing. If we get down that way again we will definitely plan a spending some time going to the shops
Excellent winery and tasty, delicious wines just around the bend in the road from Gruene Hall. (The oldest saloon in Texas) There is always a breeze blowing on the comfortable patio with live music in warmer weather or inside during the cooler days. If your in New Braunfels don't pass up the chance to visit this excellent winery.
