the historic sheridan inn

So excited to see what the new owners are doing with the place. Nice to have it open for tours again, and for a new restaurant to be there!

Run by Buffalo Bill Cody for a couple of years in the late 1800's and currently being restored in grand fashion, the entire building will transport you to another era! The restaurant has the original bar and served the best hand-packed bison burger I've ever eaten. Because it was Cody's birthday, we got a tour of the rooms before opening!Rooms will be available for this summer season and I can't wait. Leather wainscoting in the hallways and some of the original furnishing make you believe Bill Cody could appear at any moment.

This is truly an historical landmark that warrants a visit when ever you are in Sheridan, Wyoming. A picture into the old west, Can`t wait to return and stay in one of the rooms once it is opened to stay

Went in and had great service and an even better meal!!! Food is GREAT and Service is a even better than a Prime Steakhouse in Denver!

I love that this place is open and alive again after so many years!...the Inn stay was wonderful and the new restaurant is even better!!! Try a steak...you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful old Inn, hope the society can find enough money to re-open the hotel. Bar is open and serves food. Guided tours too.

I love places with good history, good food, and a Ghost Story. Fun atmosphere in a beautiful town! What more could you ask for :)

Once again, the old Inn has been saved from a fate worse than the wreckers ball, being recently purchased by private investors who are actively restoring her to her former glory. By summer 2014, rooms will be available to rent and food service will once again be offered. Check with the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce for the new phone number.

Purchased a couple weeks ago. Wonderful place to have located here in Sheridan, WY. Talked with the new owners and are looking to reopen before December 2013.

This place could really be something. I wish I had the money to open this place to the public. It has so much potential. It is located close to the train tracks and you just know in it's day it was a hopping place. You could see Miss Mona coming down the stairs and a clerk checking you in. We sat on the front porch and just imagined all of the cowboys and ladies that must have been right there. Can't wait until it is open.

This place is like stepping back into the 1800's! The tour guide shared so many beautiful stories about the rich history. Great little restaurant inside as well. All in all a wonderful spot to stop.

The Sheridan Inn has provided our town with many wonderful, and some strange memories. Now closed, due to money problems, the inn has a rich history. Miss Kate was a loyal housekeeper who still haunts the upstairs. Watch for her lamp going from room to room. When the Inn was open, her smell was sometimes present. Her good spirit guards against the evil doings of twisted souls in the basement.
