This is a pretty good mall. We usually go to the Apple Store and Macys, and they have a good Sephora. But it's a mall - nothing exciting or novel to be found. I wish they had healthier food choices, too.
Over 300 stores in a huge shopping mall. Generally difficult to park so we avoid this place even to go to the movies or our favorite burjer place, Zinburger. Also impossible to guess where a store you're looking for is located in the mall as it's so big.
Now that there is a Zinburger at this mall, my wife doesn't receive so much resistance from me about shopping. That, plus the fact that it seems that the foot traffic here is much less than in the past which, for me, makes for a more enjoyable shopping experience.
visited this mall in nov 2013 , it is a vast well organized shopping mall , it is the best shopping mall in new jersey ,
I loathe sales tax so thank goodness my lovely girlfriend hails from the state of New Jersey. We came here last Friday 12/12 to do some of our Xmas shopping, we left after work and cruised over the GW from Manhattan around 7ish. Traffic was already heavy so we figured the mall would be a zoo. Quite the opposite however, we entered through Nordstrom and was able to zip through the mall with minimum lines. It was hardly packed a little over 2 weeks before Christmas and there were enough deals to keep us interested. The new wing of the mall which was recently renovated looks great, there's a huge Starbucks for caffeine reloads and a new Microsoft store to keep me entertained while my lady cruised Urban Outfitters. The Uniqlo was nice as always and we were able to get 75% done of our shopping done. Great mall with a good mix of stores with some high-end boutiques in between. Ample parking and friendly staff. Def a good place to go on the weekend for some strolling and shopping.
Went to a movie on a Saturday night. Stood in line for 1/2 hour to get tickets. Stood in line with our tickets just to get into the theater. When we left, I was called an <expletive> by a kid wearing saggy pants and a straight-brimmed hat who, with his three fat-bottomed girl friends, had parked sideways in the spot next to me. The only way he could have parked that way would have been to go down the one-way ramp the wrong way. It took 26 minutes to get out of the parking garage and on to the highway about a mile later. Never again...neither shopping, dining nor entertainment is worth sharing the evening with animals.
Huge Mall, with entire "A Class" brands name. You can find a Louis Vuitton", Gucci", Etc. Anchors stores like: Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, J.C Penny, Macy's, and more. It’s a mixture of fashion, Jewelry, sports shop, and much more. In fact, it's the biggest shopping mall in all New Jersey State. I loved the "Michal Negrin" shop, of fashion Jewelry.
Spent most of yesterday at this mall. It is huge and has almost every retailer here under one roof. It approximately five miles from Time Square. If you like to shop and have a day to spare, this is your place. It has lots of free parking and a food hall.
This mall has all stores in one location which is very convenient and huge! I visited during weekday and there were not many people that I was able to shop comfortably.
Has a Nordstrom's, Capital Grill, Legal Seafood, Apple, many high end specialty shops on two levels.
Lots of great shops in 1 location. Took the 163 bus from the Port Authority travel through the tunnel and the bus stop is at Garden State Plaza. Tickets were $9 round trip. Bus leaves every 20 minutes till 1.30pm
This Review is in no way about the Garden State Plaza Mall.BEWARE & STEAR CLEAR of FOREVER FLAWLESS! Especially if you are feeling in any way insecure about yourself or having an off day. I would give it 1 star if I could. These people lure you into their beautifully designed store with samples, asking you if you have a minute. They are so quick you don't even have the option to say "NO!" and the creams are already all over your hand. After 30 minutes of the sales representative telling me I had wrinkles under my eyes and rosacea, continuing to apply the creams to my hands and eyes to prove what a difference they were making, I fell for it! I work in retail, I should have seen all of the red flags we train our people NOT to do! None the less, in my moment of weakness, I was brought to the register where they proceeded to ring me up for $900 worth of eye and face cream. As the pitch continued he pulled out all the stops, a VIP card which "they never use for anyone, only their best clients" to give me 100% discount on 2 of the items, really? 100%?????? what retailer even allows this to happen? In that moment I should have realized how INFLATED their prices are to give them the ability to do this. The price dropped to $500 he threw in the $2,000 diamond facial mask FOR FREE, what? And an additional FREE FACIAL? I proceeded to pay for these items, after I had initially told the sales rep that I couldn't afford to spend the money as I am planning my wedding and at that point I was only being pitched a $128 item. At the time of purchase there was no return policy posted on the cash wrap area and no mention of the fact that there are NO REFUNDS. I went back the next day to try to explain it was my mistake and being in a luxury brand myself we sometimes make exceptions outside of our return policy to ensure our clients happiness depending on the situation. I was unable to get my money refunded (not even 24 hours later) and the best they could do was offer me store credit or discounts on additional products that I don't need.If a company stands behind their products they do not have to go to the length these people went with giving everything away for free. Please do not allow these people to steal your money, I am shocked that the Garden State Plaza even allows these types of businesses after their luxury wing update to own store fronts in their malls. It is one thing to have a kiosk, which still creates a less than satisfactory shopping experience with people constantly shoving things in your face, but this takes it to a whole new level because the store front genuinely makes you believe they are a legitimate company. These people do not care about you, your skin or anything but themselves and earning money in a dishonest way.
I've been to so many malls in North America and Europe, Garden State Plaza is by far the best shopping mall ever. It has around 300 stores, including most department stores, as well as great restaurants, amazing food court, luxury AMC movie theater and everything in between from cheap to mid-priced and high-end brand name stores. They recently expanded the mall and added a "fashion district" wing - beautiful! The mall is closed on Sundays but restaurants with its own entrance and AMC is open; the mall is crowded on Saturdays & Holidays but recently expanded parking spaces and parking garages. NO tax on shoes and clothes... a blessing!
Prices were higher n wasn't impressed with the whole mall, parking was far away, very busy area. Can't say I would go back again
I've watched this mall grow and expand over the years, only to get better and better. Excellent selection of stores and places to eat. Go on line to see the directory, too numerous to mention. Can be very crowded. Parking is in lots and multiple parking garages. Wear comfortable shoes!!
