This is a wonderful college which offers many options to the very talented musician or artist. It is a world famous, very prestigious school for someone who is serious about their future,
If you can catch a concert from any of their esteemed ensembles, treat yourself. A small, lovely campus and beautiful music making.
A hidden gem just three short blocks off Nassau, the main street in Princeton. A small conservatory college -- maybe about 400 students -- very well known around the world for their choral training, organ and piano education, and music education. The graduates are in the best opera companies, the best orchestras, the top church music programs, and often end up as faculty at the top music schools at the best universities. The campus is small, attractive, and a haven for impromptu concerts at any time. Walk the shaded sidewalks and stop to listen often. You'll hear opera students practicing arias, organ and piano recitals, and probably the best college choirs (there are 7 of them) practicing at any time of the day. Most recitals are free and most of their on-campus concerts are reasonably priced. They also perform at larger venues on Princeton university, Carnegie hall, and many top venues in New York, Philadelphia, around New Jersey,as well as touring the country each year. The handbell program is the best in the country -- don't miss a handbell concert if there is one going on. And, don't miss the black squirrels that inhabit the campus. You don't see them in most places, but they inhabit all the colleges in Princeton.
from several different area choirs, and our church Director teaches there as well, so we have had lots of exposure to the very talented staff. The school is top notch , so be on the lookout for any performances that are open to the public.
