This is a walk that is always a pleasure. The Delaware Canal Tow path enables easy parking and access.It's one of the great amenities of living in the area! A special treat for me is when the lake freezes and ice skating is allowed.

The trail along the lake and old D&R canal which parallels it offers miles of wooded beauty and the chance to see bald eagles. The University holds its rowing regattas on the lake several times a year and there is always a festive feel. Walkers, runners and bikers share the wide trail.

This is a wonder long man made lake. The university uses it for Sculling. You can canoe, swim, or boat as you wish, following the rules of boating. There is a ramp to waters edge for your boat in. It is a lovely healthy lake. There was a time when in winter, skating was permitted. The lower lake near Kingston has plenty of parking and a dock. Enjoy with care and respect for others.

This man made lack is beautiful. By accessing the D&R Canal State Park, you can walk alongside this lake. It is calm, serene, and beautiful. You can windowshop the houses that have the luck of being alongside it.

Than a stroll, bike ride or sail along the beautiful lake!All seasons, it is terrific! Easy access from many points.
