Great for exercising, long walks, sports and just for a family outing, or a early or late stroll threw the park.

This is one of the nicest parks in the area. It's huge and has a little bit of everything. There are lots of picnic areas, fields, a stocked trout pond, another pond with paddle boats, jungles gyms and other attractions for the kids, a beautifully maintained rose garden, walking paths, etc. I love this place!

A Central Jersey gem. Several play areas, pond with summer paddle boats, tennis courts, nature trail (check out the Ice Age boulder), access to the Raritan Canal. Best of all is the Rose Garden in bloom in summer. Please do not feed the ducks.

Colonial Patk is beautiful and ideal for anyone that wants to walk, run, BBQ, volleyball, soccer, paddle boat, fish, and flying kites! It's a great place for families to get together and they have nice playgrounds for families with little children. I usually go there for BBQs with my family and friends. We usually set up the Volley Ball Courts and play for hours. It's nice to just eat, social, and have a good time! I recommend this park for everyone to enjoy!!!

Well kept. This is a nice place for a quiet walk or to walk your dog. Very open and large, but it does not have some of the interesting history of some other places in the area where you can also walk and relax.

This park has a lot to offer that even my family has not experienced a lot of yet. I have taken my different dogs to the dog park but not often and not for awhile. I rode by it the other day as I often ride through on my motorcycle just to take a break from the traffic and enjoy the scenery. My kids love the redesigned playground which is now a couple years old, there is also a bathroom building next to it. I know there is a mini-golf course on the far side of the other parking lot by the playground but I have never played there. I've seen the paddle boats but not done them either. Lots of people enjoy the walking/bike riding paths that seem to go the length of the park. Lots of green areas for people to have a picnic or play frisbee, etc. This is by far the largest park I enjoy going to in the area, Johnson Park has some similarities.

Great Oasis in Somerset County, bring the family, there's plenty to do, bike paths, walking paths, paddle boats, tennis, or wonder the fields and enjoy nature. Great for fall colors along the canal and they have a fantastic rose garden in the spring. If that doesn't do it for you, there's always the picnic groves, the pits are already there bring your charcoal, hamburgers and hotdogs and sit back and chill. If you plan it right you may even get a round of golf.The only drawback is those damn canadian geese and the mess they leave around the lake, someone should revoke their passports and send them back to Canada.

Lots to do here, bikes, playground, garden, walking paths. Unlimited time can be spent here. Well kept.

An open-to-public park is a very good place for a quiet and serene walk. One can jog or stretch out in fresh air, or spend some time near a tranquil lake. I think one can book a tennis court to try one's hand..

Colonial Park is a most beautiful, peaceful location. There are many activities, tennis, paddle boats, various exercising locations. Nice walking and bicycle paths. A place for either activity or serenity. There are also the rose gardens, absolutely beautiful and fragrant!

This park has been recently renovated it is HUGE with a lot to do for everyone. The play area is amazing there is a lot of room to walk, we rented a paddle boat and the rose garden is superb.

This was a favorite destination when I was a kid and I've since brought my own kids here when I come back to visit. Swings, slides, sand box and jungle gym for kids, plus athletic fields and lake with paddle boats. Trails for walking, biking or running. Rose garden is always a popular part of the park. Great place for a picnic too!

We spent the morning at the miniature golf course. Perfect for the little ones. Nothing very fancy but the price was so reasonable, They loved at the end when the balls disappear!

This place has all a public park can offer: Rose garden, Arbortorium, Delaware and Raritan canal state park (border), dog park section, lakes for fishing, paddleboats, mini golf, tennis courts, nature trails, exercise stations/walking path, play ground, baseball feild, newly added soccer feilds, BBQ grills and picnic areas. Spooky Brook regulation golf course borders the south side.

When we were little and good all week this was our treat! Had our wedding photos taken in the rose garden, there's a dog park and paddle boats to rent. Very nice!
