river road tavern

the acoustics are horrible, cant hear the person you are with. i wont go back. the food was good, but way to expensive. the bill was a shocker for what little we got

River Road is always packed. Parking is often hard to find and I have left several times because of this. Food is very good. I just wish it wasn't so noisy

The tavern has a limited menu, but the food is cooked well and service is generally excellent. The beer selection is enormous, and the sign that says "Wine: how rich people get trashed", basically describes the wine selection: limited and not cheap. It's a very pleasant place to eat....

We love red meat. Hehe. The burgers at the Tavern are amazing. They are thick, juicy and cooked to order. The atmosphere was nice. But their were limited choices on the menu and the chairs were just uncomfortable. To be fair, we are not drinkers, but they seemed to have a huge choice of craft beers. We would definitely go back for the burgers alone.

This place has good food with some odd combinations, like Cheetos sprinkled on the Mac and cheese instead of breadcrumbs. The burger was really great but the appetizers were not - don't get the fondue. Nice staff

This is a really fun place to get sliders and drinks if you're out shopping in the area. A very cool ski lodge vibe is felt and you can sit outside if it's nice. Great staff and very clean! Great value as well!

The somewhat limited menu has delicious burgers and other pub sandwiches done very well. The beer menu is huge. Save room for the homemade doughnuts served in various gooey and yummy sauces

Not sure what to think. Had such high hopes for this place. On the night we went, two couples, it was mid-week and not too busy. They have a nice looking beer list, but its deceptive. The first three that we ordered, two of which were on the specials list, they were out of. That's sort of how our night went. When we asked questions of our server, she didn't seem overly knowledgeable, about the drinks or food. Service was OK, not bad not good. The food was the same, just OK. Its probably a nice place to get a beer after work, provided they actually have the beer. Will we be back? Maybe, but probably not.

You'll find a great pub-like atmosphere here. If you enjoy good beer, the variety will be appreciated. If you want some good eats along with your brew, you may be extremely disappointed. The menu is more than just limited. Don't go in looking for food variety. It's not here.

We were staying nearby at the Carlson Inn & Suites, and stumbled across the River Road Tavern for a nice lunch! Great staff, delicious food and what a beer selection!... Very comfortable and casual, with a strong local feel... Will definitely be back!!

We arrived at our hotel very late in the evening and starving. We were concerned nothing would be open but this restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel staff and we were not disappointed. It is small inside with a small menu, televisions, high topped tables and very casual atmosphere. Both the food and service were great. We are looking forward to returning to River Road Tavern when its warm so we can sit outside on the patio.

Our first time here. The tables were high. Lots of singles and couples. I liked the atmosphere, but I am a bit hard of hearing and the acoustics made it difficult to hear. The special chicken wings were great. I definitely will be back, but if the occasion is for dinner with a group I might hesitate because of my personal hearing issue.

I like this place a lot. It's a tavern so expect a short food menu with daily specials and a fairly long drinks menu, especially beer. Always very good. My son says their Kobe beefburger is the best he's had (and he's had a few!). Try it!
