The tour was exceptional, so much history. Our tour guide Wes was very informative and funny, we did the sample tour, sampled 3 whiskeys at the end, great way to end the tour. Very much recommend this tour.
I'm not a whiskey fan but my husband is, so we took the tour. We paid for the sampling tour and even though I don't like whiskey I loved this tour. Our tour guide Jason was great. Super friendly, patient and informative. At the end of the sampling tour you get to sample 3 whiskeys. The tour is about 1 hour and 45 minutes and definitely worth the $10.
This was such a great place to visit. We learned so much during the tour and then got to enjoy some great whisky.I would suggest the tasting tour, as you get some great whisky at the end.The tour was exceptionally informative. They really take the time to show you all around the historic facility and ensure you know all of the process of making Tennessee whisky. There is a bit of walking and the tour is not for those who are in a wheelchair or walkers. When you finish the tour, the very small town of Lynchburg is a short walk away over the bridge. I would suggest giving yourself a few hours to fully explore the distillery and then walk into the town.
Opted for the tasting tour. It was informative and fun! Many interesting facts were given. Our tour guide Michael was informative, humorous and made the trip enjoyable.
This is a landmark you have to visit ! The tour is perfect and for free !!!Great experience !After we visited this distillery I drink Jack more often !
Did the sampling tour and it was worth the $. The tour was about 2hours and we learned so much info. It was worth the drive and a great experience. Deb was our tour guide and she was super fun. The sampling was a bonus.
The tour starts with you getting a drink from the limestone spring with all the water in Jack Daniel's comes from. Then it's on to the mash room, where the vats of fermenting beer will make you gasp at their odor and then on to the still room. This is followed by the barrel room and then the storerooms. Because this is a dry county, no samples of the whisky can be had at the distillery or in town interestingly enough.
My wife and I had the great fortune to spend a couple of hours here, despite the snow and freezing rain we had a great tour, very interesting indeed, the tour was cut short due to the weather, which was reflected in the price, ( half price) we had the tasting tour , it was a nice three shots, I can tell you, our guide wes was very funny and knowledgeable, lots of facts you never knew about JD , this is s hour 20 mins from Nashville, but worth every mile
This was my husband's idea, but it was fun and interesting. We both enjoyed it thoroughly! Our tour guide Jon was very knowledgeable and fun!!!
We were in Nashville for a short vacation with a group of friends. Glad me made the trip to Lynchburg to the distillery. This was such and educational tour. Such history here. We had a great tour guide too. I wish I could remember her name because she is very good at her job and you could tell that she enjoyed it as well. We took the tasting tour and I'm not a whiskey drinker but some in our group were so it was worth it. I would highly recommend this tour!
We took the free tour which lasted over an hour. It was very educational and our tour guide (Dusty) was great! He was very informative and funny (liked his bib overalls). I was quite impressed with the entire facility beginning with the visitor center. If you're in this area you need to tour this distillery!
I had heard a number of people talk about this and all were right. Great tour and the best it was free. Jon is a great guide and the site itself was really relaxing. Everyone needs to visit.
really enjoyed the Jack Daniels distillery. The grounds were well kept the history of the brewery is awesome. The tour guide very informative very cordial and very hospitable. Really enjoyed the old buildings the old vehicles. The brewing process itself is a science of its own and very interesting.
This was our first visit to the distillery and we loved every minute of it! I am an avid Jack Daniels collector and drinker so this was like heaven to me. We were staying in Nashville and rented a Harley for the weekend. The ride down was very beautiful as we tried to stay off the interstates. Once we arrived at the distillery we were very impressed with the cleanliness and friendly nature of all the staff. We signed up to do the taste testing tour which was only $10 and had to wait for a couple hours. We took the short walk into Lynchburg and loved all the small shops and people. We went back for our tour knowing that we would have to come back into town again to see more. Our tour guide was very informative and funny as well. Loved going through all the processes of how Jack Daniels is made. Really enjoyed seeing all the history that makes this the best whiskey anywhere! At the end of the tour we sat down for the taste testing, my favourite part lol. We sampled 3 types of Jack and our guide was more than willing to answer all our questions. Would strongly recommend this tour to anyone that loves Jack Daniels or southern hospitality. After talking to one of the ladies working there and discussing my love for Jack Daniels, she said that she wanted to nominate me to be a Tennessee Squire! I can proudly say that I have been accepted!
I was able to drag my family to the Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg, TN in August of 2014. To everyone's surprise there was something that everyone enjoyed and we all had a good time. The facility does a great job to entertain and educate about Jack Daniels. There are plenty of photo opportunities and the grounds are well maintained. A short walk or drive and you are on a small town square that has several local shops to continue to enjoy the day. Even saw our guide having ice cream with his granddaughter just like he said he was doing next.
