A while back, I took a day hike in this area. I parked in town, went hiking, and came back around midnight. When I passed some young adults on the way to my car, they started to harass me with insults about my ethnicity. At least some of them did. The others just looked on quietly.As a result I do not feel safe stopping in this town anymore. Besides not being white, I get the feeling they felt comfortable doing this because I am old and look weak, being slightly hunchbacked. Also, this occurred within a hundred feet of the police station.
