We went to play blackjack The dealer was terrible besides not being a good dealer she was rude and was a serious doggy downer will not play here again FYI Bronco Billy's Your staff does reflect your business!!!
We've been coming up to B/B's for a couple of years now and up until our last 2 visits the staff and management has been quite nice and courteous. However the last time we came up we were so turned off by everyone's attitude that I simply had to sit down and write a review. The steakhouse used to be amazing - now its less then decent. The staff has changed and the food quality has gone down! Some of the servers are still there but they almost seem stressed out by their job - they just don't pay attention to customers like they used to, they don't smile. The food came out barely warm, some of the entrees looked like they were prepared that morning and kept out in the open. This was not the case years ago when we used to come up. And this was not a one time fluke either - twice now. We don't gamble so I can't say anything about the casino - EXCEPT that I was 'carded' twice before getting across the gaming floor to the elevator to go to the restaurant. Everyone in our group was way over 30 - this is embarrassing - getting your ID checked like we were kids or something. And did I mention RUDE, even the floor manager, again RUDE. Simply one of the worst experiences in recent times. STAY AWAY for now, maybe someday they'll bounce back from this slump.
We came up to Cripple Creek to spend the day and the first place we went into was Bronco Billy's for breakfast. What a breakfast!!! We each had an order of sausage gravy and biscuits, 2 eggs, and hashbrowns, and coffee...total bill...just over $4.00!!! WOW! Also had a bunch a fun playing the slots. The whole place is VERY clean (smoke free - YEAH!). As my hubby is a smoker, they did accommodate smokers outside under very nice heat lamps. I truly had never enjoyed a casino as much as I did Bronco Billy's. All the staff was very amazing and so nice...we were even offered Christmas cookies as we were playing slots! Oh, and although my hubby kinda lost...I walked out with money in my pocket! The ride up to Cripple Creek from Colorado Springs was just beautiful!
slot machines were fun here - i normally play table games, but here i tend to go to the slots. i haven't ever won big - but the waitresses are friendly - the machines and stools are clean, and i have never had an unpleasant time!
We came to Cripple Creek to do the history museums and attractions, but did have breakfast at Bronco Billy's every day. The food was fantastic and their low-priced menu was a wonderful surprise!
Spent a few hours here playing slots and table games. Loved playing the penny slots and pulling the bar! Even won a few bucks. There are 2 different casinos in one so you can't use the redemption ticket in the other one. I even got 2 decks of cards that they gave me!
After riding the train and visiting the museums, we should of stopped here first instead of across the street for food and gambling. We will know better next time. This is more an old fashion Vegas tye fun place we like.
On two occasions family has won big here, once husband put $5 bucks in and hit a 600 dollar pay out and the other my father put a dollar in and won 800. It hasn't disappointed yet!
Took my son and new daughter-in-law on a nice drive through the mountains and stopped in Cripple Creek to let them do some gambling. Went to Bronco Billy's and had fun playing the slots. They walked out with $200 more than they started with. That's not a whole lot but it's enough to make a nice memory of their trip to Colorado.
The hotel we stayed at gave us breakfast coupons. So, for $2.00 breakfast was a bargain. Food was standard breakfast fare.
This is a review of Baja Billy's Mexican restaurant which is attached to Bronco Billy's Casino. We went here for lunch because we had a coupon for 1/2 off an entrée, that we received when we checked into our hotel. Because we were unfamiliar with the town, we thought we might give it a try and save some $$ at the same time. The restaurant itself is very cute and clean. There is a darling beehive fireplace in the main dining room near the bar that looks brand new. The staff was attentive and efficient. I wish I could be as complimentary about the food. It just was not good. Not tasty, not spicy - just blah. I had a chile relleno and could hardly cut through the chile with a knife... my husband had the fish tacos and felt they were ok. The best part of the whole meal was the thin, crispy, hot & crunchy chips and the salsas and bean dip provided when we sat down. If you just want something light - go in for the chips and salsa and maybe a drink - though stay away from the "Limerita" (a lime margarita) - I almost couldn't get it down - but did so after dumping about a half glass of water into it... There are lots of places in town to eat. I don't think I'll return to this one.
Had a staff member be extremely rude and unprofessional here. When the manager was asked for, she was also very uninterested in our complaints and refused to provide feedback to her employee. Thank goodness for the wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff elsewhere or this trip would have been awful.
We were taken there by friends who work in the area during the summer. They said it was their favorite place. We only had an hour to play the slots so time was limited. 3 of the 4 of us won money. $300, $80 and $20. One lost $20. They told us the food was great but it was a half hour wait and we were pressed for time. Will return to play and try the food.
The place most people go....have a variety of machines and even some that "dump" fake redeemable coins in the tray!
Lots of machines of all types. Dark and not overly attractive. The food in the café was very good and reasonable. I was pretty happy that I only lost eighty cents!
