saddle rock golf course

I played here for the first time recently and was quickly humbled. The course is challenging if you are not in the fairway and I thought some of the hole locations were pretty unfair, especially for a weekend golf. In short, if you went into the heavy rough, you could kiss your ball good bye. The course itself was in great shape and had some excellent views of the mountains. I would not recommend this course to a beginner and bring plenty of balls if you do play here.

We just moved near Saddle Rock Golf course and saw the sign advertising their Friday evening prime rib dinner so we thought we'd give it a try.We arrived at about 6:30pm and the place was very busy, but we were lucky enough to get a table. We were seated quickly and our waitress quickly took our drink order while we looked at the menu, which is very extensive and it all looked good. We opted for the special of the night, the prime rib and it was excellent. The service was great, our waitress was very fast and efficient and was extremely friendly...as were all of them! We will definitely be back, it seems like it will be a great "local" hang out!

This golf course is a great value in Aurora. We thoroughly enjoyed our round this past Friday. Would definitely return.

This is a well maintained public facility. Great views of the front range. Good food is served in the club house. The staff is always helpful.

Nicely designed public course, barring drought years its typically in good condition. Past course for the Colorado Open.

This is a nice wide-open course but a little pricey. Walking the course is tough and hilly. I really enjoy the challenge of the back 9. Tough

Aurora has several city-owned courses. This is one of the two best, the other being Murphy Creek. It hosted the Colorado Open twice and continues to be a tournament favorite, Of course, we live on the course, so we may be biased!

Played July 8, 2012. Course is challenging, yet fair. Links-style layout can be difficult to walk with many elevation changes and large distances between holes. Course was in good shape considering the dry summer and staff and practice area were very nice. Many holes reward good shots- be certain to manage distance and placement off of some tees as blind hazards exist and fescue/weed/rocky areas can punish errant shots.Good pace for a muni as well- clocks on every few holes keep you aware of time.

This is a nice course. The views are nice of the mountains. Great exercise if you walk. Somewhat unforgiving if you are erratic. Difficult fom the tips but not so much from the men's Tees. Nice restaurant.
