The chapel is situated along the banks of the Hudson River.Once a month chamber music groups present Sunday concerts and the acoustics in the building are amazing. One drawback, however, are the mostly uncomfortable seats but we continue to attend concerts.

My partner and I were recently married at the Chapel. The structure itself dates to the early 1800's, has an amazing history of use, near destruction and rebirth, as well as a commanding position overlooking the Hudson River. Aside from this being an obvious one-of-a-kind venue for the ceremony, the entire experience, from first meeting with the event planner to the big day itself, was very pleasant. The staff, all volunteers, could not have been more helpful. We were provided an extensive list of recommended vendors, from organists to photographers to florists, which helped tremendously. From the moment we arrived, until leaving as a married couple two hours later, the staff was nothing but smiles and good wishes. All of our guests were taken by the beauty of the Chapel and the Hudson River makes a wonderful backdrop for your photos.

While we are glad that this wedding itself went smoothly, and always appreciate feedback, it is important to understand that the Chapel has many events and must ask all guests to respect the time limits in their agreement. This allows us to honor our obligations and be fair to all guests. We have hosted hundreds of weddings at the Chapel, and incidents where guests ignore requests to respect the schedule are extremely rare. In this case, the bride was apparently delayed for almost an hour, creating the problem at the end of the agreed time. Marie is a gracious, hard-working volunteer who contributes many hundreds of hours to the village and to the Chapel every year. She is exceptionally patient, and does not deserve what can only be characterized as the unwarranted and uncivil criticism in this post.

They have done a superb job of restoring this 1834 church. It is no longer a sectarian operation....all religious symbols have ben removed and it is available for rental as a venue for weddings etc. Our "guide" was very helpful and knowledgeable about the history of the building. It's a 5 minute visit. with a superb vie of the Hudson.

I just love this little chapel. It is clearly from an earlier, simpler time. It seems almost "hand carved" from a single block of wood.During the summer they hold a variety of concerts, mostly on Sunday afternoon; and they do weddings of all types.Front the front steps you have a magnificent view of the Hudson River. A few years ago they added a new building with a small meeting room, kitchen, and bathrooms. Additionally, it is across the street from the Cold Spring train station - thus providing ample parking and easy access to New York City via Metro North. The Chapel only holds about 100 people, so large events need to find other accommodations; but for a small wedding or event - it is hard to find a better place!

Вокруг небольшой сквер, можно погулять, хороший вид на реку, скамеечки. Около самой часовни встретили небольшой взвод байкеров — ох уж этот местный колорит :)
