Going to see a play at Stageworks is a community affair. The venue is intimate, and you're bound to run into someone you know. The "lobby" is more like a friend's living room, with appetizers and drinks available. We've seen a couple of performances, most recently Looped, an alternately hilarious and touching play about a moment in diva Tallulah Bankhead's life.

What a great little theatre in Hudson, Laura and Phil could not have been nicer, made us feel right at home from the get-go. Great folks up north. Cozy little theater , easy to see the show from any seat.

Really fantastic play. I drove down from Albany to see this play and am glad I did. Provocative, at times disturbing to the point of making me slightly uncomfortable, but with a purpose that became more and more evident, the play is a real insight into completely dysfunctional, damaging relationships from which neither party can walk away. Like flies to the lighted zapper. Anyone over the age of 30 will find something in this play that reminds them in some way to a relationship they’ve had in their lives.And its really well done – acting, lighting, sound, set design is creatively fantastic.Just see it if you can get there before it closes.

This is at least the 3 time we have enjoyed their annual Play by Play production. This year their were 7 one act plays. Each was thought provoking and gave us much to discuss and fun ranking our favorites. The theater is small and intimate. The performer are first class. This year's favorites (Me) Perspective by James McLindon and (wife) As you Loathe It by Cathy Tempelsman. All acts were winners.

A witty, often touching, evening in the theatre, at a very reasonable price, performed by five gifted actors. It's a limited run of short pieces by new playwrights, deftly directed. It's run ends next Sunday, so catch it while you can.

We have seen many performances at Stageworks and they were all memorable. The seats are such that no matter where one is seated, the view is always great because they graduate as they go from front to back. We always look forward to their events and opening night provides beautiful tastings.

Outstanding work for a regional theatre. The productions are highly professional, with an intimate atmosphere. Dont be turned off by the outside of the building, it's what inside that counts. Hudson is evolving every day with new and exciting venues. Stageworks is really convenient, across from the Hudson railroad station, and with ample parking.
