Pennings had a lot of apples that all tasted great. The restaurant and market are also fantastic. We loved the apple cider doughnuts.

You can go for lunch, buy plants, wood carvings, out side furniture, petting zoo for little ones. And in the summer one of the best icecream treats can be enjoyed there. They have a very nice gift shop.

My family and I have been going to Pennings for many years to get cider donuts and shop at the market. However, this year was exceptionally overcrowded and chaotic. There were wall-to-wall people everywhere and lines for food and donuts that were longer than lines you'd wait on in Disney World. (We waited over an hour to get 6 donuts!) I also didn't really appreciate the fact that everywhere I looked people were drinking beer. My young kids were playing in the playground area while adults were walking around drinking, and a girl behind me on one of the many lines spilled her beer all over the place. That is not the scene I am looking for when I go to a farm. Beer should only be allowed in the bar area far away from the "family friendly" areas, and employees should be enforcing that policy - especially on crowded days. If you're looking to spend a nice relaxing fall day on a farm, Pennings is just not the place to do that. It has gotten way too popular, and they don't know how to properly handle large crowds.

Like a fool, I just bought an $18 pumpkin. I ordered my son a kids burger w/fries for $8 and what I received was a poor excuse for a WhiteCastle burger and a small pile of potato chips. My $4 cup of soup was 4oz and cold, plus I waited standing for almost an hour for it. Never this place again! Ever!

Many of my friends recommended Pennings as a great place to go apple picking and I wasn't disappointed. They had a wide varieties of apples and many other things to do. The only issue I had was some apples were up too high and they didn't have the long poles to get them off. I went later in the day, had dinner there and went to the bar. The food was great, especially the pumpkin soup, quesadillas, and apple salad. They have outside and inside seating which is a plus. I would definitely go back to Pennings.

Our go to apple picking destination from NYC (1 hr north). This place is also dog friendly which is rarer to find these days. In the restaurant, the fish and chips are amazing and so are the apple cider donuts. Here you pay about $25 for a large bag of apples which you just go and pick until you're satisfied.

Was in town for our 50th Class Reunion and we all gathered at the Beer Garden at Pennings Farm Market. It was a great place to be, the petting zoo was great for the kids and the food and drinks were also great. Also bought some apples and peaches to take home with us. Will definitley visit when in Warwick again.

I didn't go to the market but our friends band was playing there on a Saturday night so we went to see him. Great spot, great craft beers (no hard liquor, beer and wine only). Great use of a space that would not be used at night.

So a friend and I decided to go there for lunch since she has been there already. We entered and took a few minutes to read the menu and decide what to order in the meantime we let people pass us. Once we ordered, we asked for the bartender since we wanted some cider and the bar was clearly empty. They said it was open. We sat close to the bar so we can order as soon as they show up. 10minutes later, no one. We asked again and this time a staff yelled at us asking us what we wanted from one corner of the bar. When we wanted to close the tab, same thing. The food and the environment of the place was good, but was it too much to ask for a little of good service. Geez! Also they have a small market, beer garden, you can feed the chickens and goat.I might come back but this time later, maybe towards the evening , well get a better attitude.

I went here after being a bit disappointed with Ochs Orchard, down the road. The place looked nice, even when pulling into the parking lot. The outside had tons of flowers, plants and pots for sale. The store section had a bunch stuff for sale, both packaged and fresh. The fruit and veggies that were there looked very fresh. There is a bar area that served about 7-8 different craft beer on tap underneath two large television screens playing the World Cup games, on that day specifically. There is a bakery section, that had some pies and cookies. The pies looked great, but the cookies looked a little dry. There is a "grill" that makes a variety of food made to order. They had french fries, burgers, fried fish and chicken wings among other stuff. I had the wings, fish and chips and mac and cheese. Though, not the best I've had, it was pretty good. A little generic, but not bad. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Finally outside, there is a little area for the kids. A small play area with a chicken pen where you can buy chicken feed for a quarter and have them eat out of your hand, may not be the most exciting things for adults, but having 4 chickens eating out of your toddlers hand and watching his face light up is priceless. A great experience that appeals to everyone.

As a local we have been coming here since before we had a child. There's something to do for everyone. There's the fantastic beer garden which almost always has live music thursday-sunday. The ice cream is traditional and the food is all local. The food can be pricey but it's well worth it when your getting grass fed beef and not frozen patties. They have car shows Thursday nights and always plenty of parking. We even go during the week to let our son roam around, get ice cream and buy flowers. All year round pennings has what your looking for.

Bring the entire family and spend the whole day. Plently of apples to pick and have fun in general. (The apples are getting more expensive each year and the bags keep getting smaller). There is a petting zoo for the little kids., hay ride, a store and so much more. A winery is nearby. This place rocks, but you have to put up with massive traffic jams both going and coming back home.

Pennings Farm is a great place to pick apples. They have a wide variety of apples and their prices are very competitive. They also make and sell great cider donuts.

BEAUTIFUL and WONDERFUL experience here at Pennings Orchards. This Orchard has renewed our family tradition of our yearly apple picking. Everyone is so friendly and organized. We drove right up and were directed into the parking lot, got out of our car and started picking apples off the trees. What an abundance of apples and all varieties--much more than we expected since we just went this past weekend (10/21/13), a bit later in the season. It was like we had the whole orchard to ourselves. The scenery is beautiful, the trees are full of apples, everyone is extremely pleasant, and they had pumpkin picking too. It was $25.00 for a bag of apples--we had a $5.00 coupon from an advertisement in the AM newspaper, so it came to $20.00 for a full bag. So thankful for learning about this orchard in this newspaper advertisement and that we tried Pennings. We also visited their store, which was just as amazing. Pony rides, inflatables, apple cider donuts, a petting farm, so many painted pumpkins, face painting, etc.--it was a Halloween carnival. After going to Maskers Orchards for many years and always having traffic, rude workers, no apples and being totally stressed at the end of the day, I wasn't planning on every going apple picking again. Pennings Orchards has totally turned my apple picking around--to a peaceful, wonderful family outing. We love Pennings Orchards and Pennings will now be our annual apple picking tradition. Thank you Pennings Orchards, I wish we found you years ago.
