What a wonderful experience watching a performance in an Elizabethan restored theater. Equity actors along with local talent makes for a good mix of talent. Watching an actor portray different characters in different plays makes for a wonderful experience. They perform Shakespeare and other classics. We try to go once a year to catch at least 4/5 shows. The prices are reasonable. A must do if you have a love of theater.

Excellent!! Taming of the shrew was amazing. it was the first play i have even seen and thanks to this one being a hit it wont be my last!!

A lovely and intimate theatre, which puts on a range of quality productions. We saw "Our Town" which was excellent - the acting and production was of a very high standard. There are no bad seats in the house, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.

The Theater is in an historic building which is worths seeing itself. The quality of the plays, both Shakespeare and other are very high quality and we are lucky to have it in the area. We look forward to the new 2013 season. Check it out.....

Intimate theater that's beautiful inside and out with special treatment given to variety of productions. Went to five in summer 2012 and four summer 2011, so highly recommend. Comedies are hilarious, musicals are well-scored and sung, and Shakespearean plays don't disappoint.

Tucked away in the tiny town of Monmouth Maine is a wonderful Shakespeare experience! We were in town for three days and we saw two enjoyable performances! Not being a huge fan of Shakespeare I didn't have to high of expectations but, I found the plays very entertaining and the cast and staff enjoyable and helpful. The theater it's self is a delightful surprise! From the outside you expect it to be charming. It doesn't disappoint! not only is it charming it is lovely and quite amazing! The architecture and stained glass are worth the price of admission alone!
