I have been in the Portland Maine area three weeks now and if you are looking for a mall this seems like the place to go. If you are from a larger metropolitan area you may feel that this mall falls a little short of your expectations. Several of the big anchor stores are here as well as most anything else you should desire (except a drug store). Having been in Asia for the last 16 months I am finding that the malls in America lack atmosphere, seeming dull, old and outdated.

Probably the best shopping in the area but dont go out of your way. Just a regular shopping mall. First time visiting Bon Ton. Never had heard of it until visiting here. One floor mall. Nothing special but did the trick of finding something to wear to a wedding while in town. Purchased items from JCrew.

I shopped in JC Penney in the Maine Mall recently and was very happy with the great selections they had in the women's section. I would definitely recommend that store.

Maine Mall is a place the kids love to go when in South Portland. Forever 21 is a favorit stop for them. Food court is another favorit for them Red Mango is a nice change and Yummy.

Best time to go is on Sunday morning when the mall opens-after that it really gets crowded. Lots of nice stores-Williams Sonoma is one of our favorites.

The Maine Mall has a good selection of stores that will cater to just about everyone's tastes. It's got a lot of the big name stores like J.C. Penney, Macy's, Sears, Sephora, Best Buy and many more. My personal favorites are Bath and Body Works and Teavana! There is a decent sized food court, with restaurants such as Johnny Rocket's, Sbarrao, Sarku Japan, and several others. The selection has changed through out the years--if you're looking for something more familiar, you're unfortunately going to have to travel outside the mall. McDonald's, Burger King, Longhorn Steakhouse, Uno's Pizzeria and Ruby Tuesday are all within walking distance. The Maine Mall has some cute attractions such as a carousel and a new play place for children. Compared to some of the larger malls across the nation, it can be a bit boring. It is, however a nice, safe family day trip worth checking out.

You won't be standing on long lines, bumping into people, nor fighting for fitting rooms. Has plenty of stores that will satisfy you. The big department stores including the new Bon Ton. Spacious mall.

Ever since I was a young kid, no visit to southern Maine was complete without a visit to the Maine Mall. This facility has always been a class-act. It is clean and brightly lit, with an amazing variety of stores that will suit almost any taste. Their security people do a great job, and there is rarely, if ever, a problem with people causing trouble. I appreciate the special programs and displays the Maine Mall sponsors throughout the year.I'll be the first to admit that I am not a huge fan of shopping, but the Maine Mall, along with L.L. Bean, is a place I don't mind at all. It's a great place to shop for people of all ages and backgrounds.

While staying in Old Orchard we made a trip to the Maine Mall. What a beautiful and large mall. There is a carousel too. The stores were amazing and there were a lot of people. The stores cater to everyone's needs. Loved it and would go again. :)

On rainy days we come to the mall and there is a lot more here than where I am from. My whole family enjoys just walking around and seeing the mall atmosphere.

This ‘70s era mall is what it is which isn’t all that much if you’re 30 or older or male or both. Its stores cater more to kids, teens, and women, less to men or older shoppers. If you want shoes, 21 stores crave your business. If you need women’s apparel, 37 stores have it. If you need men’s apparel, you have 21 options, but you’ll find most of them cater to the youth market. The mall offers good options for general consumer electronics at Apple, FYE, Radio Shack, Best Buy, and Sears, but 5 other stores purvey just cell phones. If you need hand tools, power tools, hardware, or automotive stuff Sears is it. You can find most athletic gear at the Sports Authority and at Olympia Sports, but if you want camping gear look elsewhere. Only Williams-Sonoma and Macy’s offer much by way of specialty kitchenware for those who still cook at home. One store sells comics and one sells calendars but none sells actual books. The public restrooms are safe and clean. The food court has menus to fit nearly all appetites from herbivore to carnivore. It’s probably wisest just to wait there while the wife and kids fill their shopping bags.

This mall is very large and has just about every national store that you can think of. It is in a good location with a lot of restauarants and hotels very close by.

We hadn't been for a while and noticed stores and food court have changed. Nice walking mall. Could use some more benches for 70 year old mom to rest while waiting for daughters to shop in thier stores.

There is everything under one roof here as there would be at any mall. The big anchor stores are here as well as the smaller shops. There are also a lot of other stores/restaurants along the way and around the mall area. Happy Shopping!!

My wife and I loved the holiday shopping at this mall. Lot's of stores, and nicely laid out. We had intended on just killing some free time there but ended up spending the afternoon there and then enjoying dinner at the spacious food court. A very enjoyable day!
