My friend Alex and I traversed this food bridge while in the area recently while visiting the Colby College Museum of Art. One end starts on the Winslow side of the bridge, and ends up on the Waterville side. The bridge is sturdy, but there are sections when you are walking above the fast-flowing current looking down, and it can be a bit disconcerting at first. There are falls nearby, which you can hear, but are not readily seen from the bridge itself. The mill is located nearby on the Winslow side, and a good sized park with plaques and signage is on the Waterville end. It's worth a stop.
Gets you on the river where the mill was. Some short trails on the Windsor side and you can see the old Scott Paper mill. Waterville side has small park and open area along the river. Just one of those little things that give you a sense of the history of the area.
