The marginal way is so beautiful and walking a.long it to Perkins Cove is refreshing and affords many photo opportunities for enthusiasts. The spectacular ocean views are breathtaking!
If you like lobster, there are several located in the Cove worth a visit. Most are closed in the Winter.
A beautiful cove. Went on a charter boat tour along the coast to the Nubble Lighthouse and saw many beautiful oceanfront homes, sea otters, met some lobster fishermen and received an interesting history of the area. Lots of nice little shops and restaurants. I went to the Lobster Shack and had a yummy lobster Roll and the best clam chowder. Check out the cliff walk while you are there. Can definitely make a full day trip out if it. I went in October so note that most places are only open on weekends after labour day. Portland Maine is very close and also has many attractions.
This cove rings true for everything New England. The working boats, the restaurants, the fish vendors and the shops belong here. It is a tourist attraction so the prices might reflect that but no more so than other similar places I've visited. The walk along the Marginal Way to get to Perkins Cove is breathtaking and the trip is worth your while. I've eaten at Billy's a number of times and always had a good meal. I just visited in December and granted most things in the cove were closed, but what do you expect for December in Maine. This is worth a trip for families or couples.
Perkins Cove even in the winter is a great place to go and look out at the water. In the summer is is hopping, so make sure to visit it at that time.
Perkins Cove is a great place for pictures but the shops are expensive and the owners not as warm as those in Ogunquit.
A very nice little area -- but not much open or going on in the winter. Very quaint fishing village !
Such a cute local fishing town with breathing views, unique shops and a must do in Ogunquit. Definitely, loved scrolling along the town seeing the fishing boats and houses along the coast. M C Perkins Cove is a great place for lunch. We went back the second day and a the famous lobster roll from one of the street vendors. Absolutely, worth it!!
Perkins Cove not only has beautiful views. It also has many quaint shops.Although many are not opened this time of year and some open only weekends.
Cute cove with unique shops and great ocean views. Great restaurants with delicious lobster rolls. A must stop when visiting Ogunquit.
quaint bay cove with local fishing boats, houses along hills, nice shops and several good restaurants, simple and fancier
Marginal Way ends here and what a lovely surprise it was...love little shops, great restaurants and even a harbor where you can go on a cruise out on a boat along the coast!Parking is limited, but with a little patience you can find a spot.
We brought our family here and had an excellent meal! Food is consistent with the area! If you go to Maine you go for seafood if you go to Vermont you go for good home cooking!! But this place is great!!! We will definitely be back!!!
Perkins Cove area is a pleasant location for an early evening visit. Very attractive, new England setting. Gift shops and restaurants to make the visit even more pleasant. A nice walk from Ogunquit if you enjoy thistype of exercise. Parking can be a bit difficult in busy months.
Easy to get around, good parking, but also easy on foot.Little potter shops, delis, galleries to visit, also aChristmas shop, evenin August! Pleasant to sit on the various benches along the harbour, plenty of places to have a lobster roll and to buy gifts for home
