I went with friends here to check the place out. It's like Disneyland for families who take their kids to the pool. The place is HUGE and the largest pool I've ever seen. It would be fine if it wasn't so populated, but that's what this place was designed for...a water-park destination for families to take their kids and allow them to run amok. Needless to say, we didn't stay and found a mellower place to relax. Maybe there's an off season time or a better time to go here, but since I prefer quieter and more personable accommodations, this is not the place for me. It's also a common place for conventions, large groups, tourists, etc. Smart place to have a business convention as food & amenities are all on one compound. I don't golf, but there's a popular golf course somewhere in the area as well.

Visitors can pay to go into the pools, very reasonable and they have a senior rate. We went outside and sat in the hot pool (it is kept at about 104), then we went into the cooler pool for a bit then back again. Change room are very clean and tidy.

Nice warm water - large indoor and outdoor pool, waterslide and hot pools. Ample changing rooms with little privacy stalls but no lockers in the changing rooms. There are small lockers available for 50 cents. Also available is a small snack bar with a simple menu (hot dogs, nachos, pizza, etc.). The food is very average (like a high school concession stand) so don't expect fine dining but it did the trick and prices were very reasonable. There are just a few tables and chairs around the indoor pool and it was very crowded when we visited so we had to stand while we ate. Overall, the place is nice, clean and reasonable but we did not eat at the main restaurant or stay in the hotel so I can't review that portion of the facility.l

Don't be mistaken by the name. It is more like warm. The facility is large and the hotel seems ideal for gatherings and reunions. The hot spring is more a large warm water swimming pool than a hot spring. Although they have day passes, it is not so convenient. The changing rooms are basic and as clean as can be expected in a public pool. There are a limited number of lockers but they were all gone the day we went. If you go for the day, bring your own towels. Theirs are small and they fussed giving out a second one to replace the soaking one. If you need, bring some soap and shampoo. They don't offer any.

The beds were comfortable and the water was nice, but they didn't have our reservation, it got lost somewhere, my husband even had a confirmation number. Luckily they had rooms available for the night. Breakfast buffet was good.

We stayed two nights at the RV Park next door to Fairmont Hot Springs resort. The RV sites are flat with some grass and some trees. The sites are a reasonable size and are long enough that we were able to hook up our car the night before our departure. The park operators were very accommodating when we added a second night to our stay. We played a round of golf at the Hot Springs course and did some touring (Philipsburg and Granite). This is a good location if you want to visit some of the old mining towns and close enough to Butte to take in some of its attractions. There are two dining spots at the Resort next door (within walking distance of the RV Park).

Large indoor pool with plenty of room to soak and swim without bumping into others. Outdoor pools offer several large tubs with a scenic view of mountains. For the adventurous there is a slide to ride. The facility was clean and well maintained. The numerous pools have a temperature just right for every member of the family. Our 7 month old grandson spent over two hours enjoying the warm water splashing and having a great time.

My husband and I were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and we reserved the honeymoon/anniversary suite. Upon entering the room we realized that they forgot to give us our gift basket that had champagne/cheese/chocolate. So we had to call down to the front desk and they brought up. Then we went to us our jacuzzi in the room and nobody filled it up and we couldn't get it started. So yet again we had to call the front desk and they sent the maintenance guys up to the room to get it filled and running. Then we go to the pools and we realize that we didn't receive our half day waterside passes that come with the honeymoon suite. So YET again make another call to the front desk. So after all this went to go grab dinner at the Mile High restaurant. I ordered salmon and my husband ordered prime rib. My salmon was completely raw in the middle and my husbands prime rib was WELL done. But on a positive note we had massages at the spa and it was wonderful and the hot springs were wonderful. Just wish the room and food would have been as wonderful.....

We love hot springs and have travelled here often. Still sort of miffed the owners changed the name from Gregson Hot Springs to their corporate name but the water is still good. You have to walk around the warm outside pool to the hotter pool which is fine except at seriously cold temps. But we love that pool and you can sit on the bench and just soak.It has been redone a bunch recently. Improved over times we have experienced it in the past.Restaurant is so/so but it is on the premises so what can you do.

As hot springs go, this is very comfortable, but more "water park" feel than a natural spring feel. The views are quite nice, but not as spectacular as much of the scenery in that part of Montana. We were glad to visit mid-day in March, when it was quiet.

Although years have passed since I have spend a night here, just the proximity to our home is a great evening to soak and relax and meet some good people. The Creme Brulee in the restaurant is wonderful too.

My wife and I love to visit natural hot springs on our trips to the mountain states. We've been to Lava Hot Springs in Idaho, The Thermopolis Hot Springs in WY, and a number of little out of the way privately owned places over the years. Fairmont was new to us this fall, and we enjoyed our couple hours at the resort. It's only a few miles off US I90 between Anaconda and Butte, MT, and if you can find the time to put on your swimming suits in the very clean and well maintained resort pool area, you won't be disappointed in the experience. We saw children in the pools, but it's recommended they not go into the hotter pools. We didn't stay at the resort, but I asked the price of the rooms which included the pools, and was told in the $120 range (not high season). On our 1-10 rating of HOT SPRINGS, Fairmont gets a 7+. I personally would have liked a hotter pool. My wife was satisfied with the 104 temp.

There are inside and outside hot pools and regular pools that are open 24 hours. The waterslide had limited hours and there is an extra charge for the slide. There were a lot of people of all ages there. If your have little ones, you need to be prepared to entertain them in the water as there is note much for the smaller ones to do. The big slide is too much for them. The younger ones are not supposed to go in the hot pools so may not get a chance to get into them. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, though and could come and go if they have a pass card. There is a playground and a petting zoo, but you can't go in with the animals. Condos and hotel and bar and restaurant and camping and golfing so lots to do.

We traveled here with friends on a driving RV trip for 10 days to Yellowstone and back. Our friends had stumbled upon this location a year ago and wanted to try it out. We stayed at the RV resort which was nice and clean and a short distance away from the hot springs. The waterslide was fun and our boys (12-14) had a great time. Our daughters had fun too (10) but they enjoyed the pools most of all. It wasn't refreshing to jump into 90+ degree water when it's 90+ degrees outside but as soon as you get out your cold. At night when the air cools it feels great! The prices were a little high and one day was enough for us but it was worth it.

Seems as if they have remodeled. Air conditioning worked well - the pools were wonderful and the casual dining area had lots of options.
