This is the name given to the Continental Divide which can be hiked on a trail called the Highline Trail which goes along the left-side of the Continental Divide for about 7 1/2 miles to Granite Park Chalet. You can also view it from almost anyplace as you drive up to Logan Pass.

The garden wall, locally known as the Highline Trail is amazing. I recommend starting from the top of going to the sun to see the best views. The trail is tight and normally packed so if you are scared of heights be prepared to do some passing in areas of steep drop offs and narrow trails. A must see.

Wow! Wow! Wow! The water falls coming down from the mountain hit the road and you can literally stand in them. We went in September so the water was freezing and refreshing but good. We loved the views and the pictures. Keep looking around in every direction and you will not be disappointed. We will try to return in our lifetime at some point.

When you are going on the sun road everything is so beautiful you are just struck by it all then you come to this wall and it gets even better just another reward for making the trip.

On our drive of the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier NP, one of the cool things was the Weeping Wall, near the Garden Wall trail. It is a beautiful and unique place where water veins in the rock were exposed when they blasted thru the rock to make the road. The rock is black and blocky looking, so the water coming out of the openings tumbles off the rocks and rains down onto the road. We drove first westward, then later in the day back eastward, so got both views. I'm sure there would be rainbows at some times of the day when the sunlight is at the correct angles to it. It might be slick when its cold, but we had no trouble we were there in July. You just need to drive slow, stay in your lane, and have the passenger take pictures. Oh, and unless you want a cold shower and a wet car, close that sun roof!!!

One of the greatest hikes I've ever been on. Incredible views goats and even a couple Bears. If you don't like heights, suck it up and hold on to the cable. We stayed at the chalet, which was awesome. Put this on your bucket list

We drove GTTSR from east to west. As we drove past the wall I couldn't resist sticking my head out of the window to experience the rain. Rainbow after rainbow appeared. The wall looks as though it was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright -- it's spectacular. Don't miss it.

A very important part of the park. The entire park is a very precious place, as in a very short time, all of the glaciers will be gone. Going to the sun road is also not to be missed. Do not miss the chance to ride the Jammer busses, also something that won't last forever.

Our family headed to Glacier Nat Park the beginning of Aug. Perfect weather. We hiked the Garden wall and Highline Trail. The trailhead is across the road from Logan Pass visitor center. We parked at The Loop and rode the shuttle to Logan Pass so we could do a full oneway hike and end at our car. The shuttle is free but fills up at certain times of the day so you have to wait. The wildflowers were in bloom and beautiful. This is the prettiest hike I have done. The views, steep slopes, mountain goats and other wildlife were amazing. We didn't see any bears. This trail is not for those who are afraid of sheer dropoffs. The initial part of the trail has a guide rope to use if you want. If you are comfortable on the first part of the trail you will do fine. We hiked about 14 miles total with 1.6 of it being a tough up and down to see Grinnell Glacier. Worth the hike up. We took a short rest break at Granite Park Chalet which has overnight hike in accomodations. The last 4 miles of the hike to The Loop parking lot is downhill with a nice creek at the end to rinse off the dust and cool off. The other hikes we did were Avalanche Lake (from Trail of the Cedars), Hidden Lake (behind Logan Pass visitor center - saw Big Horn Sheep) and St Mary's and Virginia Falls.
