My husband and I had a terrific Delta river tour with Capt. Mike and crew, learning about the 5 Rivers Delta and seeing some neat birds. (Saw Bald Eagles - adult & 2 year olds - Osprey, pelicans (brown & white - lots & lots of white), Belted Kingfisher, Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets and other species). We were all looking for alligators and turtles but it had been too cold for them to be out yet. We've taken a number of eco tours and this was up there with the best: educational and fun.

Traveling as a family, this was good. However it's 45 minutes from Orange Beach, so the drive wasn't so fun. Tours last around 1.5 hours. The guides are very knowledgable and friendly. We went in early March and it was cold! Thank goodness they had blankets on board. We did the Secretly Awesome Harbor tour. This takes you by the battleship and shows you a working port. Very awesome. We also did the Eco tour. This one takes you around the marshes. You learn about birds, mainly. We didn't see a gator as we hoped, but the guide told us in the summer they are all over each other. I didn't really enjoy this tour, but my 8-year-old son loved it. My 3- and 4-year olds didn't really enjoy either tour. But if you bring snacks, (allowed), there ya go!

My wife and I did the Eco-Nature tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only did we some alligators and other wildlife, we learned a great deal about the eco-system of the area. The tour guide made the trip very interesting with his information. The kayaking itself was a great deal of fun and not strenuous. I would highly recommend this activity.

The Secretly Awesome Tour is the second tour I've been on with 5 Rivers Delta Safari following the Eco Nature based tour. This tour of Mobile Harbor gives up close insight on how Mobile functions as a port. I learned a lot from Captain Michael on this tour, and I highly recommend it if your travels take you to Mobile!

We took two trips with 5RDS: a motorized tour to and through the Mobile harbor area, and a kayak tour of the lower delta. Both were well led and worth the time and money. We saw aspects of the area that are very interesting and important, but not seen if you just stick to roads.

The temperatures were cool, but Captain Cris and Jamie kept us warm with their descriptions of the wild life, foliage, and the history of the area.

My family was visiting from Orlando and I thought it would be fun for them to experience the Delta we all love here in coastal Alabama firsthand. I had been on two tours with Delta Safaris before and had been very impressed. We took a boat ride through the southern part of the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta and saw all sorts of wildlife and vegetation, including a diverse range of birds. We took the tour in February so it was nice and cool on the water. The entire experience was excellent, from being welcomed on board to the goodbyes as we left. The tour guides were humorous, informed, entertaining, and full of fun facts about the area. They made you feel like you had the boat to yourself and that the tour was just for you. Their passion for the delta and the wildlife shown through their smiling faces and it was a joy to be in their presence. I am already looking at booking one of their other tours this season and cannot wait to head back out onto the water with Delta Safaris!

We have been coming to the Gulf for seven winters but did not know about this area until one of the staff talked at a snowbird coffee. Wow in so many ways....the Mobile Bay and Delta are an unbelievable national and international treasure. The Delta Safari Tour added so much to our knowledge and was a great experience. The captain and one-girl crew offered tons of information and thoroughly answered all questions. The boat was clean and all involved were friendly and professional. We will be recommending this activity to anyone in the southern Alabama-Mississippi-Florida area.

I've lived in this area all my life and never taken this tour. I wish I had done it sooner. We had a blast, despite the cold. I will be going again in the spring! So much fun and easy for people of all ages and abilities. If you're in the Mobile/Baldwin area, take this trip. You won't be sorry!

These folks do a wonderful job of showing the wonders of the Alabama 5 rivers delta and Mobile Bay. The know their stuff and give fascinating info on the diverse flora and fauna. Great fun for families, birders, etc. Boat is comfortable and clean. Very enjoyable!

It was a great experience. Both the Captain and his "Mate" were friendly and knowledgeable. They did everything they could to make sure we saw a variety of birds.

Having just a couple of days free in the area, I contacted Five Rivers Delta Safari in advance to see about taking the kayak trip. Captain Michael went to great lengths to make sure I got to take the trip even though there was no-one else signed up. This ended up with Chris taking me out on my own. So not only did I get the dedicated attention of a knowledgeable guide, the river was so peaceful we had an otter swim up to the kayak and a hawk swooping down to it.The previous day I had taken the boat trip with friends and had had an excellent introduction to the ecology of the area. I would wholeheartedly recommend any of the trips to anyone visiting Mobile. All the team are dedicated to making sure you have a wonderful experience and we had some really excellent views of the wildlife.

Five Rivers Delta Safaris is a great way to experience Mobile Bay and surrounding areas. We enjoyed being outside on a sunny day and learning about the five rivers delta. The knowledgeable guide provided a very informative and entertaining narrative about the history, the plants, and the wildlife of the area. After the boat trip, we explored the educational resource center.The guide also mentioned that there are other different tours that are offered and we are looking forward to taking more of those.

We just celebrated our son's 5th birthday party with 5 Rivers Delta Safaris and took a one hour Delta Excursion on the Ospry and it was in his words "the best birthday ever." The staff/crew were entertaining and attentive and it was an educational experience for my son and his friends. I highly recommend this package. We will definitely have another party at this facility. Thank you for making my child's day so special!

We had a great cruise with Chris as our driver/guide. He was very knowledgeable about the delta, its ecosystems, birds, flora and fauna. We came away with a much greater understanding of what a delta really is and its importance to the area. He also entertained us with wonderful stories about Alabama history. Don't miss it!
