IT is located in an old railroad building. You can eat inside as well as purchase tickets for the game. There are vendors that sell team shirts, pompoms, horns, and whatever you need to show team spirit. Next door is an old Confederate jail being utilized for office space
Minor league baseball games are the way to go. A great family event at an affordable price. Food is a little expensive but the tickets to the game are cheap and if you go on certain days you even get a fireworks show.
The elevator to cross the railroad is comfortable, there is alsoa tunnel from earlier times. A river boat is lying at the moorings,Information about tours will perhaps be found at the visitors' Office in the old Union Station.
What a great minor league baseball park, priced right, family friendly, easy walk to restaurants and hotels.
This was our first trip to Montgomery and we specifically came for the ballpark. We were not disappointed. Great venue. Clean. Typical ballpark food. Nice location. Montgomery was an awesome city, wish we had more time to explore!
This is an excellent venue to see a baseball game. Love the ambient feeling. The food is great, the atmosphere is great and family oriented. My kids love to go there as well.
Great place for a stroll. Lots go things going on in the spring..summer and fall. Ball games concerts
This is a great place to go with the family for a day outing. Everyone likes to go here and then find a great place near by to eat.
One of the best baseball parks in the South. Incorporated into existing historical buildings, it has a great architectural, old-time feel with all of the modern conveniences. Above-average stadium food and team store. Parking and restaurants within the immediate area.
really nice, inexpensive ball park, that has an area where you can bring your own chairs or for $6.00 seat in the stadium
I'm a huge baseball fan and couldn't pass up going to see a team called the biscuits during my one night in Montgomery. The stadium looks pretty nice for a minor league team, with a historic train depot as the concourse along the first base line and also holding the biscuit basket gift store. I made sure to load up on biscuits gear. They had plenty of quirky little things, such as a pig named miss gravy, the duchess of pork that got walked around the concourse on a leash. The game, however, got rained out which made me feel like I had lost 25 bucks on tickets.
We visited Riverwalk Stadium for a Biscuits baseball game with 10 friends, but it was raining. Since we were going to the Owners Suite, we didn't worry about getting wet. Since Sherrie was entertaining many season ticket holders that night, there was a lovely buffet dinner that was served. Riverwalk Stadium has the best food in baseball - and that was confirmed that night with some specials in the Owners Suite.
Variety of food options, variety of offers during certain game nights. Prices are reasonable to see a game but some food can be expensive. It can be very hot out there so take a hat or paper fan in July and August.
Yes, the facilities are nice. The games are average. What gets me is that it is all about the $$$. From the high priced terrible food to the crazy, marked up souvenirs, the owners make sure one thing: you are going to leave with as little wampum left as possible. I imagine this conversation happened years ago:Executive #1: "How can we get people to buy $8 beer and $30 tee shirts?"Executive #2: "I know, how about we have like a baseball team or something."Executive #1: "Yeah! Wait, do you think we can charge people admission?"Executive #2: "Oh yes, people love belonging to something. And beer."Executive #1: "Great. What about a name for the baseball team... Something cool, right?"Executive #2: "We need something that really rocks. Wait! I got it…!"
The stadium is a fun place to watch a baseball game! The food is good. There are games between top and bottom of innings. there is a kids play area. There's a gift shop. Many nights there are fireworks after the game or other special things. It's a bargain for what you are able to enjoy. A nice evening in Montgomery.
