Well lit and beautifully displayed. All shows are tastefully hung and the walls are never over crowded so you can appreciate everything on display. Calra Massoni features primarily local and regional Eastern Shore artists. Shows generally seem to last 4 to six weeks and the openings are a real social event in Chestertown.Ceramic and wood plus some metal also make up some of the highlighted displays. The stairs going up and the Bannister rail are not ordinary, they are a set up to what you'll see upstairs.Don't overlook this gallery, it will only take a few minutes or a few hours depending on your level of interest.

I've fallen in love with this place! The art shown is beautifully curated, the owner of the self-named gallery is lovely and full of information, and it's definitely the place in Chestertown to splurge. I've been in town for a week and every day I go to visit my "painting" -- I'm so tempted, and think I might actually break down and buy it! On each visit I discover something or someone new -- whether it's the beautiful cherry staircase that's a piece of sculpture on its own to the work of photographer Alessandra Manzotti. The gallery's exhibits revolve so there's always the chance to see something new. It's located above the also fabulous Evergrain Bakery.
