In short please book with this company and if you want to know why please read on....Me and my partner went on safari with this company on 20th dec until 27th. We were very nervous when booking our safari as we had previously booked a tour with a company called Freddy tours(Mombasa) and they took half our deposit up front then took off with our hard earn't money-for the record do not book with these! I emailed Jennifer at African memorable safaris and she was so helpful from start to finish(she even emailed me when she was not meant to be working just to help me with my booking. We chose the Tanzanian experience leaving from Arusha. There were a few things we needed to change with the trip as we needed to be dropped to the airport in Arusha for our flight to Zanzibar at the end of safari also we wanted to change some of the accommodations . This was no trouble and Jennifer edited our tour to suit us. The tour itself began with their sister company in Arusha (high peaks) they were equally as amazing as we stupidilly left our wallet at a hotel when on safari and only realised that evening (after travelling 7 hrs in jeep to final accommodation), we were due to fly the next day and had no time to drive back to get the money( we'd left it at Serengeti soap lodge). To our joy the money was retrieved by staff at the hotel and Lisa at high peaks along with our wonderful guide Raphael managed to have the money flown to us the next day for us to collect at the airport! As you can imagine our faith has been well and truly restored in human nature. Also they didn't charge us for doing it!I can't wait to return to this beautiful country and when I do I shall definitely book with this company.

It was wonderful! Bonny was an excellent driver and give us new knowledge about Tsavi East and the animals. The only problem we had was the salesman outside the gate to the park who told us to buy hats, we don't like the way he told us to buy, we must buy them he told us. Its better to ask for money for the animal then do like this. It was the only thing we thought was bad.No problem at all with the mini bus, the water in the bus, the food, the driver, with the room, with the animal and the weather. We loved it!

An opportunity to travel to Kenya on business arose in August for the timeframe of later September and into October, and the people before me said I could not miss the chance to go on a safari while there. In anticipation I contacted seven or eight highly rated safari companies based on Trip Advisor reviews. Two companies stood out for their responsiveness and reasonably priced offerings for a solo traveler. African Memorable Safaris was one of those two, and Jennifer was their contact person. The competing offers were different but appealing for an air safari, 3 days/2 nights, and it nearly came down to a coin flip. I went with the other firm's offer because it was about $300 cheaper and I was willing to accept what appeared to be a somewhat less attractive camp. What a mistake that turned out to be.In this review I will not mention the other company's name and what transpired with them, though I strongly recommend you read my detailed Trip Advisor review of that company and the experience! I discovered I was being cheated.only six days before I was scheduled to depart for Nairobi. At that moment I sent a desperate email to Jennifer at Affordable Memorable Safaris in hopes she could offer to me the same deal I turned down weeks before.As was the case with my emails to her in August, I immediately heard back from Jennifer. Now consider that I was on vacation in Arizona at the time and therefore Jennifer's time zone was 10 hours ahead. From that first reconnecting email until the day of my departure six days later, Jennifer and I exchanged nearly 40 emails that addressed all the questions and issues. Again because of her being 10 hours ahead, remarkably, many of Jennifer's emails were sent well into the evening hours. Not only did Jennifer produce the initial offer at the original price point, she was able to get me a return air route to Mombasa rather than back to Nairobi, and at an appropriate additional cost. (A second business opportunity arose in Kilifi for the back end of my Kenya trip.) Adding to the complexities was arranging for a 50% deposit wired from my bank while I was still out of town on vacation. But incredibly, all the details were ironed out in time for my September 29 departure. I cannot tell you how relieved I was knowing I had a safari experience waiting for me. Without Jennifer, I would have been sunk and incredibly disappointed.The safari through AMS took me to Ilkeliani Camp. I will be writing a review on this camp and my experience there, but in summary, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and experiences at Ilkeliani Camp. The people, service, safari drives, food... everything was top shelf! I don't believe I could have been more satisfied. Now that I have returned to the U.S.-- and as I just shared in an email to her today -- I cannot adequately express my gratitude to Jennifer for all she did for me, especially in the wake of being cheated by another safari company. Therefore, I give African Memorable Safaris and Jennifer my highest level of a praise and an absolutely unqualified recommendation!

We were on 3 days safari wit African Memorable Safaris. My collegue recommended me AMS as she was very satisfied with her safari. We received some offers from Jennifer very quickly, she was very nice to us and also patient, as we had many questions :) we visited Tsavo East and Amboseli with Stanley - he was our guide and driver. Everything was perfectly organised. Stanley is a perfect guide and also a very good driver. He was very open to our requests. The time we spent with him was very nice and amusing. The great surprice was his performance in Amboseli Lodge - he played guitar and sang popular african songs. It was unforgettable, or I should rather say it was a memorable experience. We had also a great accomodation, in african old style. First camp in Tsavo East had the best food ever, with most delicious banana and chocolate cakes, and very nice people, we could totally relax, as the motto was "pole pole" :). In Amboseli we was in the most beautiful place at the foot of Kilimanjaro, with direct view on this great mountain. We slept in the tent of a high quality, with the furniture typical for old safaris, I felt just like in Karen Blixen's novel. It was a great experience to see Kilimanjaro in a sunrise light. The time we spent on this safari is an experience which we will never forgett. I heartily recommend AMS to all travellers of the world!!!

Steenbok did a fantastic job with my safari. The entire ten day trip in Tanzania and Kenya proceeded without a hitch. Accommodations were excellent, and guides superb. I could not have asked for more.

We were on an eight day family safari with AMS. Our trip included Tsavo, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara. It was a tailor made proposal prepared by Jennifer (who heads the office) and perfectly executed by Stanley - our guide, driver and a friend. With no past experience with Kenya or safaris, we were fully dependant on AMS. And we regret nothing. It was perfectly organised, from our landing in Mombasa to departure from Nairobi. Stanley was a perfect guide (and excellent, calm driver). He must have a six sense - we were almost always the first to spot the animals. But most importantly, he is a great companion. Long drives between the parks were always amusing and interesting. And he plays guitar and sings!!! Jennifer organised great lodges and camps, of a quality far beyond our expectations. This is first time I am making such recommendation, but it is well deserved. Many thanks to AMS, they have did a great job to organise gor us best holiday ever!!!

We booked a 4 days 3 nights safari made at our own choice to visit amoseli and tsavo west. We were only three of us and got to enjoy a minivan for ourselves which was veeery confortable! Stanley, our driver and guide, was an excellent driver, very safe on the highway and nice driving on the parks.He also brought along his guitar andsang us some songs, great singer!! We stayed at AA lodge in amboseli which was quite good, the acomodation itself was great the food can be improved and then we stayed at kilaguni Serena in tsavo west which was just perfect, a bunch of elephants came to the pond while we were having dinner, it was great! During the whole trip we managed to see the big four, we only missed the rhino, but we had a leopard hanging around the van, amazing pics!, we also saw elephants, lions walking just next to the van (we also saw how an elephant scared away a bunch of lions!), buffalo, hippos, wildbeast, wild dogs, dikdik, giraffes, all kind of antilopes... very close all of them!!The Landscapes were amazing through out the whole trip! The overall oganization of the trip was great, very professional, they know all the timetables of all the parks, sanctuaries, where and when to go, all the different routes... Definately recommendable.!

Despite the fact our dream trip to Kenya has recently been cancelled due to the threat of terrorism in the Mombasa area, I feel compelled to write a review as this company has provided me with a refunded deposit at very short notice and Jennifer at AMS has gone well and truly out of her way to ensure that we weren't left out of pocket. We had planned the safari some months ago and Jennifer was really helpful in suggesting safaris that were specifically tailored to meet our needs and agreed a very competitive price for our party of four. The bank transfer for the deposit was easy and secure. We are obviously gutted that our trip had to be cancelled at such short notice, but when we have a chance to re-book our holiday to Kenya we will definitely book our safari with this company. Hands down, Jennifer is the best individual I have ever dealt with at any company or business worldwide.I hope the current situation doesn't become too crippling as companies like this one deserve to do well.

Our 2 families ( 4 adults and 2 children 10) can highly recommend safari organized by African Memorable Safaris. We took a flight from Diani Beach to Masa Mara, where we spent 3 fantastic days with many safari games every day. Everything well organized starting by transfer from hotel to the airport, flights, accommodation, safari games etc.

I can only recommend African Memorable Safaris. Everything was great, communication was very fast and helpfull. Nice cars with excelent driver. Our driver was communicative, funny and he was able to answer all questions about safari. Accommodation very good as well, nice rooms, food and views from every lodge

Went on a safari plus 2 other excursions (Mombasa and dolphin Dhowl trip) with this company in October last year...wow what an experience!! We received an excellent service from the first email sent to the end last of the three trips we booked from Jennifer. Safari was brilliant and an experience we shall remember for ever, the driver (Martin) went above and beyond to ensure we saw the animals that we wanted, the lodges were of a great standered and we had a private vehicle with just my son and myself (Thompson had up to 8 people crammed in to the same size vehicle) this meant that we had more control over where we went and how long we stayed looking at the animals etcWhen we went on the dolphin trip we were the only 2 people from our hotel who actually saw the dolphins and this was because we used a local tour company with local knowledge rather than a big holiday company who were only interested in getting their moneyIf you are going on a safari in Kenya do not hesitate to use AMS they really made our holiday a once on a lifetime experience

We took a 3 night/4 day tour to Tsavo East, Amboseli and Salt lick. We first tried to book a 6 persons shared vehicle, because it is cheaper to share, but no one else booked the same dates so we had to go for a private minibus. As compensation african memorable safaris upgraded us the last night. And in retrospect we are so glad that we had our own car, that way you decide for your self how long you want to stay at a place, if you want to stop for shopping or start earlier in the morning. Our guide Stanley was great, had great knowledge and really made an effort for our experience! They also arranged a special trip to a local school wich was a great experience. We really have nothing to complain about and would recommend African Memorable safaris to anyone.

We booked a two day Tsavo East safari from the UK via email and bank transfer with the very helpful Jennifer from African Memorable Safaris. This process was very easy and also very good value for money for a private safari.We had an absolutely fantastic time, our driver was excellent, very informative and strived to make sure we got the most out of our safari. We saw more elephants than you can shake a stick at, dic-dic, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, antelope, lots of different kinds of birds a lioness waiting by her kill and 5 lions stalking a group of antelope. This last was the most impressive, the lions were right outside the vehicle and our driver had been listening out for sightings all morning and made sue we got there. Would recommend this to anyone going to Kenya in a heartbeat over group safaris- there were just the two of us and the driver and it cost the same as many advertised group safaris from well known companies.
