small and quiet beach , there is a small cliff you can jump off to the blue water , and you can swim around to the small island across.
On the road from Aegiali to Chora, this beach with no sand has one of the much cleat waters of the island. No sandy beach. There are possibilities to reach by a small bota a small island in front.
the beach is ravishing and splendid the waters are very clear and the proximity of a nice and very greek restaurant make this place (at low season only I think) a good one to swim to rest to think to draw to look under the sea…
The place is very interesting geographically. It's as if you have a tongue of land extending into the sea. The only inconvenience is the total absence of any kind of shade. other than that, simply marvellous
The place is great, but if you want something memorable take the boat across for a reasonable cost of 4 or was it 5 euros per person I don't remember, it seems that my memory is set on other better things. At the time of our visit the small wooden bar had not opened yet, which meant that we could utilise one of the two shade providing pergolas they had. Great crystal clear water, for snorkeling and swimming and reasonable privacy. I do not know how things will be after the bar's opening (they started cleaning on that same early evening just before we left the beach), but I guess it will still be great. Do carry water and snacks and a small umbrella, so that you can stay longer. The last boat trip back is as late as 19:00. Great beach.
It used to be a much nicer beach but it seems that the development of a really nice hotel complex with an infinity pool above has turned the beach to a garbage place. Dirty beach which gets smaller and smaller. It's preferable if you take the boat to the other side but you must not expect something special either. Agios Pavlos beach can be avoided. You can take a nice photo from the road above connecting Aegiali and Chora.
Clear water, almost private. The wild goats come visit too.Take the boat to the other side. A little piece of paradise.
From the road above, Agios Pvalos beach looks superb. It looks almost as good from the WExpress Skopelitis when it sails though the channel close to the beach. We walked out from Aigiali to Agios Pavlos and were disappointed. The swim we had after the hot walk was great (it is nice in Aigiali as well, particulalry in the beach across the bay) but the beach was nothing special and there was no shade and we had the prospect of walking back to Aigiali. If you have a bike or hire car it is worth stopping for a little while, but it is not worth walking or taking the bus to.We would not go back but we will always love the view of it from above.
Not a sandy beach-which can be a challenge for naked feet-but the clarity, freshness and brilliance of the water and the light reflecting over it more than compensate. A beautiful location, often gives the impression it is a lake. Unreservedly recommended!
While I was in Amorgos it was too windy but the beach of Agios Pavlos is covered from the wind due to the island of Nicouria. try taking the boat to cross you to the two beached of Nicouria. Quiet shores where you can here only the wave on the shore!
Not far from Aigiali, only 5kms, on the way to Chora, this small sandy beach with the strange shape is lying opposite Nikouria Island. It's usually quiet and a tavern on top offers local specialities. It's protected by the wind usually blows in the island.
Take the boat out to the island Nikouria. Eat at Dimitris taverna after coming back. And if you are smart - rent a room in Agios Pavlos Studios for a night or 10.I have been in Amorgos so many times, and I always come back to theese places.
