Magic Waters is a great place to take kids in the summer. Tons of slides for all ages. There is a huge wave pool and lazy river.
Great place to spend a hot summer day with your grand children. A bit pricey, but worth it for the fun we had.
We go every year in July with my entire family. I reserve 2 cabanas by the wave pool. There are several padded chairs,ba few tables and a full screen around the cabana. The rental also includes tubes, water & pizza voucher. You can bring your own coolers with food, drinks etc but no alcohol. We drive about an hour to get there but it's always been perfect
Although it will be crowded whenever you go, it was still fun for the kids. The wave pool was a fun experience, as were the water cannons and giant bucket that dumps water once every so often. Lazy river is relaxing, but short.
My husband, son and I went to Magic waters for a special day and boy were we disappointed. The facilities were filthy, the water was very dirty and the crowd was so large you couldn't even swim without someone bashing into you. I was worried that we were going to get sick from the non sanitary conditions. The bathrooms were so dirty that there were used sanitary napkins stuck to the walls. On top of all that the staff kept on shutting down the swim areas to "check the water quality"...disgusting. And the final kicker is that you pay $24 per person to enter. Yuck. Avoid this place at all costs until they clean, sanitize and completely overhaul this place. Thanks
I was pleasantly surprise! It was small but functional my kids had fun ages 16 through 6. Oh and my husband had fun too. We got their early and there was enough space for seating. Another great feature is that they let you bring one cooler/ food container per family. Even if you didn't want to bring any food then they have many places to eat and lots of taste treats. A couple things I didn't like was the bathrooms, they were not well kept, and waive pool floor needs to be redone paint was coming up.
Magic waters is a fun place to go. We usually go about 1-2 times a summer. My nieces and nephews always have a grand time and I love going down the slides and attractions with them. The food is Wayyy expensive so I would recommend bringing a cooler in with you to eat that's what we always do. We also never rent tubes all the attractions that need tubes you can borrow for free for that one ride ;) 9/10
Yay, finally a waterpark that doesn't nickel and dime you to death! They allow a large cooler so you are not forced to purchase their food (which is not too highly overpriced). The rides were fun, the lines as expected. Can't beat the bargain $12 days, will definitely return next summer. Insider tip: If the parking lot is not crowded don't spring for a tube, there are plenty available for free.
Our family went with a large group to Magic Waters for the day. Purchasing tickets online is a HUGE plus, and saved time waiting in line when the park opened. We rented a couple of the premium cabanas overlooking the lazy river. They came in handy when breaking for lunch or just needing a quiet place for the kids to rest. I would highly recommend cabana rental for groups with small kids! The park is laid out quite nicely, and had plenty of things for both small children and adults to do. Our 3 year old loved the water slides in the kids jungle gym area, as well as the wave pool. They do make young kids wear life jackets in the wave pool, so you can either bring one (Coast Guard approved) or borrow one from MW for free. As for food, I would recommend bringing your own, as their concession stands are mildly above cafeteria food quality and not worth the price (they even ran out of sub sandwiches while we were there!). That would be my only complaint, though - the rest of the day was fun and exhausting!!
We've driven by this park several times but this was our first visit. We had about an hour and a half drive and were overall happy with the our experience. We went on a Saturday and arrived about noon. We bought our tickets on living social and got them for $12. The regular prices are pretty steep. The lines were long at the ticket booths. They did have all windows open though and all lines (except ours) seemed move pretty quickly. We rented a locker and didn't even try to get chairs. We went on the water roller coaster. It was fun, but the wait was at least an hour. I would definitely buy the fast pass next time. The $15 would be worth the extra time to do other things. The lines for the normal slides weren't bad. We loved the lazy river and the Tsunami Bay. We also spent a fair amount of time in the kid's area. There was a lot to keep our 7 year old happy and entertained. We had Mexican Food and spent about $25 for three of us. We should have split a meal and drink as it was a lot of food. I didn't think the prices were all that bad considering it's basically an amusement park and there's a captive audience. They do allow you to bring in your own food though, so that's a plus. We will be back next summer.
My 13 yr old son & I visited for the first time using a Groupon. I'll preface this by saying we've been to the Dells several times including one less than stellar Dells location. If it's me, I'll deal with the extra drive & expense to go to the Dells as there are locations where you can play but not stay. This waterpark is in need of updating: bathroom facilities only at entrance/exits and one had just 3 working stalls. I can't begin to imagine what the line looks like on the weekend. Tip: stay on the left side of the wavepool which is closer to the large bathroom facility. The wavepool is fun but was stopped repeatedly with lifeguards jumping in after people who should have stayed in the shallow end. Kudos to the lifeguard staff but if you can't swim, stay out of the deep end or GET A TUBE! The bottom of the wave pool paint etc is so chipped up it makes me wonder when they last worked on it. Water coaster was fun but again, a long line on a Friday. Drop slides were good for thrill seekers. The lazy river was dirty with floating junk and with garbage strewn along the banks. Wouldn't take much effort to get staff out there to pick it up. You can bring in a cooler with no hassle but the park itself is dry so adults can't kick back with a cold beer or frosty drink during your visit. We tried a funnel cake for $4.50 - it was also average. There were some nice cabanas for large groups but the small cabanas are corrugated metal sheds! WIth chain link doors and they back to the highway and overlook the lazy river. I don't know what they charge for them but I say get there early and get your chairs and save your $. It's pretty unlikely we'll return to this location.
I took a group of teens to Magic Waters Waterpark. Groupon / Living Social both had coupons come up for half off the entry....which was a great deal. We were allowed one cooler to bring in with sealed drinks and food....so no need to purchase at the park. We went on a Monday in August, and lines were not too long on any of the rides. There is a wave pool, and if you want a tube for there, that would be a charge. I would suggest just waiting on that though. When people were getting ready to leave, they offered up their tube to others which was great! There are picnic tables you can find in the shade too:)
A great family place to enjoy sun, water slides and a great wave pool. And the lifeguards are on the ball! I saw lifeguard Riley rescue a child struggling in the wave pool. She was there in an instant! I was really impressed. The park has lots of chairs to sit in and places to get food and beverages. We used a living social coupon so really saved a lot on admission. You also can bring in food and non alcoholic beverages if you like. Great place for family fun!
One of my favorite places to go in the summer. There is a nice long lazy river that if you go through one path you get wet and one path that you stay dry. Wave pool is huge and alot of fun. Always rent a tube for that! It's always a great place to go and have fun. This is always going to be one of our summer hot spots!
love the park the food was to expensive and not very tasty and you had to pay for everything separate locker cabanna to bring food in children up to age 11 had to pay adult fare
