Meeting the owner, James Anderson, in person was a pleasure. We learned he began his printing company - Gemini Graphics Printing in 1995 because he wanted to preserve the history of the letterpress trade in Florida. He showed us around his 'museum' that's filled with priceless antique printing presses in all sizes. He even made us a sample 'thank you' note on one of the old presses. A multi-talented man, James teaches students on using Ink-Knife Art, and does art and picture framing, plus is a musician - besides operated a small cafe on his premises where the Cuban sandwiches are delicious. It's a must-see step-back-into-history place made even more special by James as he talks to visitors about the history of printing and where and how he acquired the dozens of presses in the museum.

We enjoyed the atmosphere in this print museum/café. The REAL style Cubans with the right kind of bread was a treat. And it is right next the an old sugar mill that takes just a few minutes to walk thru.

Friendly staff great sandwich. Wonderful antique printing press and more. We eat here at least once a month. Owner is fantastic.

Cuban Cafe in a museum, sounds delightful but disappoints. Food is just ok and pricey. The museum is interesting and the location is beautiful and on the way to Homosassa Springs. Worth a look but don't do hungry.

If you go to this Museum you must meet the owner, Jim Anderson, what a wonderful person. He makes you feel like he is there to tell you everything he knows and it is so interesting. It is so nice to meet someone who care about people, teaching and sharing. Well worth going to meet Jim.

This place is just a short drive north of Tampa and it is worth it! So pretty and calm, you can almost hear the sugar mill grinding away. And if you are into printing, the museum is really special. Grab lunch next door!

We heard the cuban sandwhiches were so great here, we had to stop. Well I guess you can't go by that all the time. We arrived at 11:30 am and were the only customers there, yet it took 30 min to get our 2 cuban sandwiches, 1 potato ball and 1 side of beans and rice. The food was mediocre at best. As my husband and I both ate, we realized the food was quite dry. Everything...dry and not much flavor at all. I am sorry to give this a low rating as I love supporting small establishments, but the food here needs some work.

We didn't visit the museum, but we had lunch. The food was decent, Cuban sandwiches, chips. Nice. The place has old printing equipment, as it IS a museum. Interesting. We just happened to drop in on this place and had an enjoyable lunch. The location is lovely, very "Florida" outback. Solid lunch.

we ate black beans and rice and wandered around the place. The food was fine and we were pleased we stopped in. We visited in the off season so we were the only people in the place. But food was good, the server was nice, the selection was limited to sandwiches an things like black beans and rice which we enjoyed just fine

This is a wonderful stop in "Old Homosassa". This small museum has a wonderful collection of printing tools and machines from years gone by. Many are very unique pieces. There are a large number of plates on display that you have the opportunity to print with. You will also find an interesting collection of old camera, typewriters and blues history. Gentleman running the place is a wonderful musician. They have Blues and BBQ events in the garden behind the attached Museum Cafe that offers Award Winning Cuban sandwiches that are just fantastic!!!! This is a must see stop when visiting the nearby Yulee Sugar Mill Ruins State Park, Homosassa Wildlife State Park or one of the many other attractions in the area. There is no charge to visit the museum but there is a donation box at the door. Not very busy during the long hot days of summer so best time to visit when you can really look around. Really gets busy when the temps cool down though. Locals love this place and so do I. I can't wait to go back :-)

Love the Cuban sandwiches, yellow rice and black beans. Restaurant only open for lunch. Very reasonable prices. A pleasant and relaxing lunch.

It was very interesting and I loved the displays of the old printing press and the old truck

The owner has collected printing equipment of the 19th and 20th century, gives demonstrations of equipment such as the linotype. Also a great cafe with Cuban sandwiches, etc.

This is near Yulee sugar mill ruins. Also on the way to docks on the Homosassa river. Very friendly people there, also a small restaurant.

This is a quaint, clean, friendly place. But their Cuban sandwich is no more Cuban than the people working there (non Cubans, believe me). I could not taste the genoa salami, pork, cheese or anything else that was supposedly in there. Absolutely no special flavor from any marinade either (I mean zero). Draft Sam Adams at $2 a glass was the only real value. People rave about their bread and desserts. The bread was nothing special and it turns out they don't make any of it themselves. They just buy the bread and desserts down in Tampa. Compared to Cravings Cantina, these sandwiches are a big nothing. Nothing homemade or made from scratch and no Cuban employees. There is no one there to tell them it's not a Cuban Sandwich, it's just a salty toasted ham sandwich.
