I'd driven by this winery, vineyard and tasting room dozens of times before I finally stopped in. The tasting room sits in a renovated fruit stand, and is full of some surprisingly tasty wines. Of course they have a flight of Pinot Noirs... the best being the 2006... and a number of whites, including their Wine Enthusiast #6 wine in the world, their 2011 Pinot Gris. Both the 2011 and 2012 Pinot Gris are sold out and they were bottling the 2013 when I stopped by. What I really appreciated was the knowledge and enthusiasm of the gal in the tasting room, and the Obsidian wines, made with fruit from Southern Oregon's Rogue Valley. Tasting is just $5, and you don't have to pay if you buy some wine. Stop by on the way to the coast and bring some bottled treasures home.

Chateau Bianca does not impress from the outside, you have to go in and taste the wines. We were on our second visit, and this year samples were as good as last year. They give a very good pour and have a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Don't miss the Northwest Comfort, a local favorite and great to take skiing in the winter. We loved the Lemon Oil they make as well. This has become one of our favorite wineries.

My husband and I stopped at the winery on the way to the coast. You pay $5.00 for wine tasting, ( you get several samples) and if you buy wine, I think they wave the tasting fee. I didn't do the tasting, but my husband enjoyed it. We did buy some wine for Christmas gifts and it was very good.

Stopped at this winery after reading an article about great pinots in OR with great value. Glad we stopped! Greg was knowledgable and had us taste a variety of pinots, all at reasonable prices. What a concept! This winery will be one that we look forward to visiting again and recommending to our OR friends!
