primm valley golf club - lakes course

I have heard high praises for this venue from fellow golfers. I enjoyed the round but was not impressed with the condition of the course. The staff was more than helpful and friendly. It is a little more than 45 min drive from my home in Henderson and I have been reluctant to make the drive. Yesterday however I had another reason for the trip, The Mint 400 Off-Road Race was also being held at Primm. The races started at 6 am giving me time to take a few pictures befor my tee time at 9:30 am. The drive to the course is a short cruise on I-15 towards LA. Once your on the course property it doesn't seem that your in the dessert but the traffic noise on I-15 is present . I will give this outing an average rating. The fairways were patchy, this could've been due to the time of year. The greens were receptive and deceptive although nothing special. I would play it again but am not going to make a special trip .

Been doing a golf trip to Vegas for several years now. Primm Lakeside Course is one we never miss. 18 of the most challenging holes with a tee box for every skill level. You gain a slight advantage if you have a slight draw off most tee shots. The ball will catch the right side of the fairway, ride the right to left slope and roll forever. Nothing rolls like a ball baby! Staff are friendly and helpful from pro shop to grounds crew. A different and refreshing change from its sister course , the Desert Course, located on the same property. A fantastic golf experience and a must see!

Awesome bar staff. Golf course is fun and challenging as well as beautiful. An oasis in the middle of the desert.

Staff were very friendly and the golf was challenging. I played the Lakes Course and had a very good round. Nice layout, well maintained.

I make every attempt to try out at least one different course when I am playing golf in Vegas.....This time I chose Primm Valley - Lakes course. It was a great decision..........I got hooked up with an older Asian couple and a single out of California - It was a great relaxing day!!! I found the Lakes Course to be very nicely groomed and scenic too. The service was top notch all around with a great welcome from the guys outside, the pro shop and the starter!!! I would definitely recommend the short drive from Vegas out here and would not hesitate to play the Lakes Course again!

Enjoyed the fantastic customer service, great attention to detail and smiling happy staff members. The golf experience was without a doubt an experience to remember! Upon our arrival, we were greeted by an attendant who gathered our clubs, assigned a cart and guided us to the pro shop with professionalism. The starter briefed us on the protocol of the day, flag placement and cart path only holes etc. She ensured we were stocked with bottled water and guided us to the first tee with an on-time start. We were impressed with the condition of the tee boxes, fairways and greens as they were well groomed and maintained. On a down note, the sand bunkers were basically bare of sand and were poorly maintained. However, the course conditions overall were excellent, speed of play was a bit ahead of schedule and an enjoyable time was had by all!

This was the first time playing the "Lakes Course". We had only been able to get the desert course before. Both are very good, but really liked the lakes course better. The staff is great, and it is beautiful there. Definitely want to play this one again!

Very pretty golf course, about 30-40 minutes south of Vegas. Lots of choices of tee boxes, so can be as challenging or forgiving as you need it to be. The course just kind of jumps out at you --- sudden green spot in the middle of the desert. Bring lots of water, as it can get pretty warm out there. We played in the afternoon, so the cart girl was not around for much of the time. Well worth the trip south from Vegas.

This course has some great fairways that forgive shot that you didn't intend to fade that far:) Greens were in great shape and the staff were very nice. I'll be back again for sure. Pay attention to the greens, they are easy to read but VERY tough to sink a one-putt.

Two top notch resort courses. Fun to play, always in great shape. If playing in the heat start your hydration well before heading to the course. I smile thinking about the good times at Primm Valley. Staff has always been professional and considerate.

Primm valley Lakes is one of the most beautiful golf courses there is. It is a great course for all levels of golfers, with many tee boxes for,all skill levels. It is,particularly good for women golfers of all levels who get a great advantage from the green tee boxes

interesting holes, amenities are basic and well done. Its the best attraction of Primm Valley Resort- only 10 mins away on the California side.

Pretty well maintained and very nice course layout. Only problem is that it's located far from anywhere. The Lakes course is better than the Desert course.

We have traveled past Primm many times on the way home from Las Vegas and decided to stop over here for the golf. Played the Lakes course twice because it was in good shape and based on reviews here. Played with a local guy and he said that it used to be in much better condition than it is now. We thought it was in great shape. A few bunker edges were burned out, but really, other than that, it was a fun course...not the hardest course we've ever played but nice layout, lots of water to avoid, a few wide open fairways to bomb it down and just an enjoyable course and not $500 a round! We played on Thursday for $40 (Twilight) and $85 on a Friday morning. Local guy says the Desert course is for "players"...now have to got back!

Primm has a very nice course that is a great resort style course. It has a few challenging holes and many easier ones. In great shape but not one of the hardest courses around. Definately worth the drive to play here.
