Went on a romantic wine tasting trip with my husband, been to Napa, Lodi, the foothills never the Livermore region. Stopped by this winery because I thought it was cute. Was treated horribly by one woman in particular will never go back to that winery or probably the region. If you're not a member or look young or don't look like you'll be dropping $$$ on several cases or maybe if you are black (not sure what the problem was here can only speculate) at any rate you're treated terribly spent an hour there only received 3 of the 5 tastings we paid for due to horrible service. One of the workers continued to walk by my empty glass and served others around me. After our 3rd fill up one nice worker offered us a tasting of their special Valentine's wine for our next tasting waited waited waited. Then I finally got the attention of the earlier mentioned horrible old woman pouring asked her for the Valentine's wine. With an attitude she went and got it and started pouring while remarking this was for members only and the other worker should have offered it. Really? That was the final straw I said fine never mind to which she tried to fix it by saying she already poured it... Really? Just wow! We walked out. At the end of the day she missed out on a sale we always pick up bottles when we go tasting...Oh and reviews of the wine....sparkling was good everything else was meh... Don't waste your time.
We loved this place. The wine was good, it wasn't busy, and the owner talked to us at length about the wine. Just what we were looking for. We bought several bottles to take home to the east coast. I would definitely visit again.
Great location, great big tasting room and lots of nice gifts! They even recently added a Bocce Court that you can rent. We joined the Winery and get free tastings whenever we come in. They are so nice there. My husband likes to taste everything and I only like the sweet wines so they just keep me filled with their Muscat Canelli, my favorite!
Mitch moved the winery to a location off of Tesla Rd earlier this year. The picture shown is now Rubino winery. I think Mitch is going through a transition period right now. I'm hoping the quality comes back.
I loved this vineyard which sits in Livermore , California. Their wine has received many medals and I would most assuredly recommend this vineyard as a stopping ground for my friends and business associates whom are wine enthusiasts. The staff who poured the wines for wine tasting were very knowledgeable and cordial . I was especially happy that they served chocolates , cheese and crackers with the wine. Definitely a great vineyard to visit!
Great service always here. I like the fact that they tell you so much about each wine you try. Their wines are all really good here.
I have tasted at MK since they opened and I will miss the Fat Boy red...Love to see this place stay in Livermore Valley.
We wanted to do some wine tastings without going to the valley, so we decided to just go to a few wineries in the Livermore area. This one was our favorite of the three we visited. We were initially put off by having to pay $10 per person for the tasting up front; but the tasting fee was subtracted from our purchases. What made our visit so special? Mike and Carol. Mike was doing the pouring; Carol just came in to join in our fun. It was my mom’s birthday, and Mike was pouring her samples of whatever she wanted. I’ve never like port, but Mike encouraged us to try it. Yum. It had a wonderful pecan taste that would be wonderful over grilled peaches….I had to get a couple of bottles. Carol gave us a wonderful cheese with our wine. We wined, we laughed and we will always remember our visit.
My High School English teacher said the "nice" was the most boring word in English language. Enough said!
My wife and i happened across this winery while visiting a friend in the Pleasanton area. We were drawn in by the beautiful facility and throughly enjoyed our visit. The winery was not crowded and a very nice man poured wine and talked with us for about 45 min. The wine was good but nothing special though we did enjoy the Livermore Valley Shiraz. Overall, a nice stop with friendly people if you are wine tasting in the Pleasanton area.
