First time here was last weekend. It's truly a hidden gem. The venue was nice. The staff was friendly. Each performer did an excellent job. Would totally come again.
We got a great deal on livingsocial for Laugh's and we don't regret it for a second. We had a wonderful night. We ordered drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert. The comedians were local and funny. I would come back here and I'm more likely to go to another comedy show too.
Cannot believe $50 for tickets. Only two cocktail waitresses for sold out room. Should have had 6.One bartender? 45 minute wait for service.Hope the show makes up for it, as we had not been here for awhile and it was much better.
I liked this comedy club a lot better than Parlor Live! The seating is great and the food is good too! Food is a little overpriced but I enjoyed it!
I ordered a cup of soup and got a Styrofoam cup of Ramen noodles.I sat down to enjoy my overpriced glass of red wine: the whole bottle is less at Safeway. But probably what burned me up the most was that I had sat down by myself and their star comedian starts riding me as a no life loser. Really?!That's the best their star could do? Or, that fella was the best comedian they could find?I haven't been back; why would I?They can't control -- or better yet -- they can't find comedians that are respectful?I didn't realize this place only wanted couples: is that why the lights were all off and the place so quiet except for a few odd sounds? Did I misunderstand the character of this place?Proof positive we need to bring back the Pizza store.
Went here at the urging of my 30-something daughter and had a great time. Just like in SF/LA, you can sit and drink, and even eat, while listening to some truly great opening/mid/and closing acts. Thank you!
I've lived in Totem Lake for 20 years and passed by Laugh's many times, wonder how a comedy club could a) survive in the sleepy suburbs of Kirkland; b) work in a former Godfather's Pizza restaurant ("What did they do with the kitchen?!); and c) be THIS GOOD. Went there with my son and daughter recently and had a GREAT time. They serve food and alcohol, both well-received, and the three comedians were top of the crop in their respective skill levels (Laugh's uses the Good-Better-Best format). We had a great time in what turned out to be an intimate yet fully-functional comedy club. I felt like I was back in SF in the mid-80's!
Good line-up of comedians, with a decent variety of eats and drinks to choose from. Several shows on Fridays and Saturdays and they regularly have fairly well-known comedy guests mixed in with the up & comers.
Wow.....this is so awesome for Kirkland!Laughs is a legitimate comedy club that brings in great talent and provides a fun atmosphere!I've been to the club five times - never a bad experience. There's really not a bad seat in the house. I always get there about an hour before the show starts and have dinner and drinks. There is a two item purchase minimum per person (not a big deal).I really like that they don't tolerate "dirt bag behavior" from the crowd. The club is located just a few minutes (literally....2 minutes if you hit the lights) in a strip mall (with several good restaurants) and tons of free parking in the Totem Lake area of Kirkland. The service has always been fast and friendly. The food and drinks are pretty good and the prices are fair. There is a $20 cover at the door, but it's $15 if you order tickets on-line. I think it's only $10 on Thursday nights. For the dollar, this is great entertainment. A real solid value. There are usually three, sometimes four comics that perform. The local up and comers usually go on first (actually, the owner usually comes on first with the "house rules" and a few funny lines of his own!) and then the headliner always goes last. The headliners are people you would recognize if you're at all familiar with stand-up comedy. Many of the local up and comers will be headliners one day.Perfect for date night. This is also something that's fun to do just to get out of your ordinary routine. Shows are at 8 PM and 10 PM on Friday and Saturdays. Thursday's show is 8:30. They also have an open mic on Tuesdays, but I've never been to that.
You could consider me a bit of a regular at Laughs in Kirkland because I love comedy shows! While it is located in a nondescript shopping center, they do have good comedians and it is a fun time. The food is tasty. I haven't tried their alcoholic beverages for some reason. Lots and lots of free parking-- which is one reason, for me, that I go there instead of Seattle (often the comedian is also performing in Seattle). If you're in doubt, just go. Laughs is one of only a few fun things to do at night in sleepy little Kirkland!
