This is a nicely designed auditorium, with no bad seats. I've seen quite a few performances there - mainly musicals, put on by the Davidson Community Players - and the acoustics proved to be quite good.. The facility, while not luxurious, is clean and comfortable. I try to sit centrally in the 4th or 5th row (great seats), but so far as I can tell there are no bad seats in the house!Located at the far end of the athletic complex, in the Knobloch student center building, the only drawback (a minor one) is that parking is somewhat distant - only a few hundred yards or so (hardly a hike) but a bit of a nuisance in the rain. Big tip of the day: if it's raining, or threatening, carry an umbrella. That's about as useful as reminding you to button up in cold weather, isn't it? :-)

This is our first Christmas in Davidson. A friend (who is faculty at Davidson College) recommended this performance to us. There are 2 concerts, we went to the first one It lasted 1 1-2 hours, without an intermission. What an event. We overheard the comment as we left "half of Davidson was on stage". There were incredible choirs, adult, child & men. we heard and experienced terrific acollege orchestra AND community symphony, terrific dancers, children's choir, soloists, storytellers and readings. A wonderful blend of college and community talent to kick off the season.
