Neat little artsy area. Parking is on residential streets nearby, bet the nieghbors hate it. Shops are just a mix of everything from antiques to retro clothing, resale, boutique, pets and more. Lots of dogs with their owners. Bike rentals, lots of patio dining.

LOVE visiting Bishop Arts. A couple of girlfriends and I recently did a day-date where we started at the Dallas Grilled Cheese place for lunch (delicious), walked around through the shops, stopped for a slice of pie at Emporium Pies, and then stopped at Bishop Cider co to enjoy a hard cider while we waited for Lockhart's meat to come out of the smoker. It was a fabulous day full of food, sunshine and shopping.

Unfortunately it poured rain the whole time we were here but it was a cute district with unique shops. Some stores were closed on Mondays.

Eight years ago you would have to drag people to Oak Cliff. Unfortunately for those who knew of and frequented this little jewel, it has become trendy. Ugh. Still some good restaurants, boutiques and wonderfully walkable for Dallas, just too crowded these days.

Not nearly as many cool shops and restaurants as we were expecting, actually quite a small area, hard to find coffee!

There are many little shops, restaurants, coffee houses and other odds-and-ends to visit but make sure you pick a day when the weather is nice. We were unfortunate to have experienced terrible weather, (unusual for Dallas) cold and rainy, which makes walking fairly unpleasant. Also, the time of year and day of the week is important in order to be certain that all the shops are open for business. Check ahead with the event calendar to get the full experience of this quaint "Artsy" area.

Visited Bishop Arts District with friends after church one Sunday. Loved the vibe of this place! Cute shops, friendly people, easy pace, and just a great place to stroll & enjoy yourself. Wear comfy walking shoes, as you'll be walking quite a bit, plus the sidewalks & paths are old & uneven in many places. We ate lunch at Hunky's, a burger & malt shop with lots of adult bevs & other yummy munchies available if you're not in a burger mood. Friendly service, fresh-cooked food, & prices were very reasonable. I lost track of the many shops we visited, with the exception of M'Antiques, which sort of bills itself as a store for men. It does have tons of toys & cool stuff for boys of all ages, & girls, too. Not a frilly place, but definitely a fun one, & great to browse in for some unique pieces. Parking can be a challenge, & I haven't been there often enough (yet!!) to know the scoop on best parking spots. Be prepared to spend some time enjoying this fun place. Kudos to the business owners who are working so hard to revamp this area of town!

I've been to the Bishop Arts District for one reason. To have smoked BBQ from Lockhart's BBQ. Check them out if you go there. It is a small place and it usually has a long line for the BBQ. They are located at Davis St./N. Bishop St.

Fun place to shop and dine! The restoration of the area has brought life back to the district. A short drive from downtown Dallas. Nice place to visit day or night.

The Bishop Arts District is a very fun place to visit. There are several quaint shops, and lots of different places to eat. It is sometimes hard to find a parking place, but we have managed to each time we go. It is a great place to take the family for an afternoon or evening. I had my granddaughter's birthday party at the 50's restaurant there, it was great fun.

One of the oldest areas of Dallas called Oakcliff. Bishop Arts is an out door area with store after store of wonderful bargins and beautiful hand crafted items. You can spend the day and enjoy food and drink but I found that to be a little pricey.

Consider finding a way to use public transportation. Finding a parking place is like looking for gold in you backyard. It could happen, but don't hold your breath. Lots of little shops with artsy and arcane items at large price points. For example: a "green" pet store, lots of little art galleries with local artisan displays, boho style clothing stores. There are lots of restaurants ranging from white tablecloths to waxed paper at the Lockhart Smokehouse. It made for a nice morning of walking around and exploring but been there, done that. Don't need to again for at least a year.

It's a little oasis in Oak Cliff and it's worth checking out ... some nice shops and eateries. You can stroll around in an hour or two and grab a bite to eat as well, or an ice cream treat.

Many boutique, artsy and fun shops worth the stop.I would assume parking might be tough on weekends. Try to visit any other day than Monday.

This is a cute area/couple of streets. There were some nice shops, but after a bit, it seemed they were all the same: stuff you don't really need and pricey cotton clothing. There was a really good looking restaurant there, but we did not have time to dine after we finished shopping. If you are looking for souvenirs or a place to mill around while drinking tea and walking your dog, this is a lovely spot, but if you only have a few days in Dallas, I think there may be more to see than this.
