This is a wonderful quick little stop to make if you are in Little Rock. I wonder why The producers of Gone With The Wind chose this mill for the opening of the movie? It has lots of great places for pictures, and is a good place to just sit and relax. The last time we were there, two different weddings were taking place.

The opening scenes of the movie, "Gone With the Wind," reveal a glance of what will be seen in North Little Rock when you visit this historical sight. This non-working mill was built as a replica of working gristmills of the 1800's. It was built in 1937 by Justin Matthews and is listed on the National Registry of Historical Places. The mill, also called Pugh's Mill, is colorfully accented with seasonal blooming flowers by the Pulaski County Master Gardeners, as indicated by a sign in a flowerbed. The architecture of the mill, walkways, and handrails make for interesting, unique pictures.

This charming recreation of a historic gristmill, shown in the opening credits of "Gone with the Wind," features wonderful tree-like bridges and stonework created by a Mexican sculptor in the 1930s. It's especially beautiful in spring, when azaleas, dogwoods, tulips and other plantings are in bloom. Located in a residential area called Lakewood, it sits at the head of the largest lake; above it is the most popular of the five stair-step lakes, where locals walk, fish, play sports, and watch the ducks, geese, turtles, and an occasional green heron. You can also picnic by the mill, which is open during daylight hours and has restroom facilities.

If you are in town, you owe it to yourself to see this. It is also a great location for family portraits.

The is a beautiful a historic place to stroll through. I have visited it twice. I was the backdrop on Gone With The Wind.

Bread is great. Sandwich was a little skimpy on meat. Not the most robust sandwich, but if you are eating light, the taste is very good. Soup is ok, my wife liked it more than I did. Bread is the star most certainly. We get bread loaves to go when we do eat here.

Beautiful flowers blooming in the spring. Old Mill area very well maintained and frequented by many families wishing to take family and prom photos.

Very neat experience! Also very beautiful view of the water. The fact it was in the opening of Gone with the Wind was very interesting to me!

Even in December, with no blooming flowers and leafless trees, the Old Mill is a beautiful place to see. It is so picturesque, it was used in the opening scenes of "Gone With The Wind". A must see if you are in Little Rock.

This North Little Rock city park is carved from an older housing area in the middle of Lakewood Subdivision and is well-mainted by the City of NLR City Parks and Recreation Department. It is gated and provides a nice, clean, and relaxing nature setting for lunch, children's play, or photo shoots. The landscaping is lovely, especially in the spring when the azaleas and dogwood trees are blooming. Don't miss this relatively easy place to find when you are north of the river! If you would like to know about the history of T.R. Pugh Memorial Park, google it and read more about the building of the mill, the artist who created it, and the mill's place in our national film history!

The Old Mill is a beautiful setting for taking pictures and to enjoy. Spring brings many beautiful colors with the surrounding flowers. Summer is bright and green. Fall has beautiful foliage.

The old mill in Lakewood section of north Little Rock, Arkansas, was the opening scene of the iconic Gone With The Wind. It is gorgeous in Spring and Fall, but also pleasant during the summer and winter, especially when we get a snowfall in the Winter.

It was beautiful, and it was free! There were too many people there though, every cute picture me and my husband took seemed to have people in the background.

The Old Mill is a beautiful treasure that you don't want to miss. Admission is free and the park is very clean. I would recommend making a stop here.

A great spot to stop and take some pictures. It is in a residential area so don't think your lost when driving to it. Walking in the mill and on the little bridge was cool. The angles and scenery with the water were just beautiful.
