canyon park

Park was closed.Marina was opened and there was a barbecue restaurant that was opened also. The review is requesting at least 50 characters but what can you say, park was closed as well as the beach and there was no reason that we saw for the closure.

Liked the views over the lake it was beautiful. The water had this cyan blue color. Lots of people enjoying the sites.

A nice park on Canyon Lake where you can walk or bicycle across the dam.We parked on the south side and stopped in the middle for some pictures.Fun outdoor excursion.

who is going to open a real beach and maintain it on canyon lake?? what is the purpose of these parks on the lake if there is no swimming areas that are worth swimming at??

Canyon Park is located smack dab in the middle of gorgeous Canyon City. Be warned, most of this little city rolls up its sidewalks at around 6 p.m. You won't be finding much to eat after that (save the delicious Italian Garden). The area boasts several boat docks and river tubing areas. The park has swimming and camping on a first come-first serve basis. And even on the busiest weekends, there's plenty of room for all. It's nature at it's best for sure.

The lake is pretty and great if you like to fish or boat. However, if you are looking to swim, there are very few places where you can get in the water without having to pay for a campground space. I took my children there for a day trip and was very disappointed by Canyon Lake. Several of the parks would not allow us in to use the beach. My kids enjoyed the water, but it was not worth the trip.
