First of all, let's start with one negative: Bosque Brewery does NOT serve food. None. Nada. Zilch. Nonetheless, it allows you to bring in food from nearby restaurants, and with excellent pizza and sandwich offerings right next door, this really isn't a problem. Now to the good part. Bosque Brewing Company has the best beer in Las Cruces without a doubt. This taproom is an extension of the justifiably famous one up in Albuquerque and that's where the brewing takes place. Albuquerque has developed an excellent reputation for great craft brews and it shows. The local taproom keeps six "always" beers on hand, including a lager (for your mass market friends you drag here away from the usual Bud Light pap), a hoppy reboot of the classic American Pale Ale called Pale Ryder, an oatmeal stout, a wheat/IPA hybrid, an Amber, and a Scotch Ale. These are well and good, the Pale Ryder being my personal favorite but it's the rotating seasonals that really set this place apart. In the short time the taproom has been open, I've been able to sample three different IPAs, each one better than the last, an Imperial Red & Russian Stout, the Milk Stout, an excellent classic Porter, and the best lager I've ever tasted, the hoppy and refreshing Whirlpool. My suggestion? Get the $11 flight and sample any six beers you'd like, each a 5 oz. pour. You'll discover the majesty this place has to offer. The servers are all certified beer experts so you can't go wrong if you're a fan of craft beers.
